[2016-5-26. : 3:39 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I used to play D&D with people, then one of my friends moved to texas and we just sort of stopped
[2016-5-26. : 3:37 am]
Dem0n -- They all got arrested for fighting in public, and then I tried impersonating an officer and got arrested too, but in jail, I was able to slip through the cell bars and escape the jail. I then waited for the guards to leave or something, and then snuck back in and stole someone's gear lmao
[2016-5-26. : 3:36 am]
Dem0n -- Yeah the first session was probably like two hours longer than it should've been because none of us knew what the fuck we were doing :P
[2016-5-26. : 3:36 am]
BloodyZombie117 -- Yeah, still... Without being there, I wouldn't have learned shit.
[2016-5-26. : 3:36 am]
Dem0n -- Since we were all in a group chat on there anyways
[2016-5-26. : 3:35 am]
Dem0n -- It wasn't video. We just used Skype as a teamspeak client
[2016-5-26. : 3:35 am]
BloodyZombie117 -- Plus a complete newbie like me wouldn't understand over video chat anyways.
[2016-5-26. : 3:35 am]
jjf28 -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: Yeah he's been married for like a year and a half rofl
In that case I prolly had the same response ~9 months ago then forgot :wob:
[2016-5-26. : 3:34 am]
BloodyZombie117 -- Besides, live stuff is more fun.
[2016-5-26. : 3:34 am]
BloodyZombie117 -- But I don't wanna Skype it... I don't skype. lol
[2016-5-26. : 3:34 am]
Dem0n -- Yeah he's been married for like a year and a half rofl
[2016-5-26. : 3:34 am]
jjf28 -- wait... az's married? :O
[2016-5-26. : 3:33 am]
Dem0n -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: I'm pretty sure there are, I think there used to even be an SEN D&D group that played on like skype or something
ya me, az, generalpie, sac's girlfriend, and az's wife did it, and sac led it. they may still do it
[2016-5-26. : 3:33 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I'm pretty sure there are, I think there used to even be an SEN D&D group that played on like skype or something
[2016-5-26. : 3:33 am]
Dem0n -- Researched recall and gave the arbiter 100% energy smh
[2016-5-26. : 3:32 am]
Dem0n -- Why won't this Arbiter cast recall when I use the script? :massimo:
[2016-5-26. : 3:32 am]
BloodyZombie117 -- Finally found a group of people to DnD (I'm also super new to this and so is 99% of the group). Such fun. It's a shame not a lot of people around here DnD... That I know of.
[2016-5-26. : 3:27 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I keep wanting to put == when saying a thing == a different thing. xD
[2016-5-26. : 3:23 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Doing it at work is way better, because none of my friends know any of this so I have to come up with answers myself
[2016-5-26. : 3:22 am]
Moose -- http://www.mathwarehouse.com/calculus/continuity/what-are-types-of-discontinuities.php you can look up removable discontinuity
[2016-5-26. : 3:22 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Having people around makes homework hard, because when uncertain it just makes me want to ask about it
[2016-5-26. : 3:21 am]
Moose -- Or "has a removable discontinuity at x = +/- 2"
[2016-5-26. : 3:21 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- So the answer we've all said :P
[2016-5-26. : 3:21 am]
Moose -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: (e) True or false: (16−x^4) / (x^2−4) = −4 − x^2. Why? How is this equality connected to your work above with the function f ?
No, because the left one is discontinuous at x = +/- 2
[2016-5-26. : 3:20 am]
Dem0n -- Fucking hero AI smh
[2016-5-26. : 3:19 am]
Dem0n -- Why doesn't Stukov attack an enemy unit when ordered to patrol the location that the enemy unit is at?
[2016-5-26. : 3:19 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- f(x) = (16−x^4) / (x^2−4), with lim x->2 f(x) = -8, and then simplified to -4 - x^2 (so that with x=2, that = -8)
[2016-5-26. : 3:17 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- (e) True or false: (16−x^4) / (x^2−4) = −4 − x^2. Why? How is this equality connected to your work above with the function f ?
[2016-5-26. : 3:16 am]
Moose -- Okay, what's the actual question here?
[2016-5-26. : 3:16 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- "No but yes except no"
[2016-5-26. : 3:15 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I'm just going to say they're not the same, but they are except for x=+/-2 :P
[2016-5-26. : 3:13 am]
Moose -- It isn't defined there. It's discontinuous at those points.
[2016-5-26. : 3:11 am]
Moose -- It's a discontinuity that you can "remove" by defining a new function as the simplification or with f(x) as its limit at the point(s) where it's discontinuous
[2016-5-26. : 3:10 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- the thing isn't asking if f(x) = -x^2-4, just if 16-x^4 / x^2-4 is
[2016-5-26. : 3:09 am]
Moose -- You would have to redefine a new function if you want it to be continuous and be equal to f(x) everywhere else.
[2016-5-26. : 3:09 am]
Dem0n -- What is removable discontinuity? Never heard that before.
[2016-5-26. : 3:09 am]
Dem0n -- o___o
[2016-5-26. : 3:09 am]
Moose -- No. f(x) is said to have a removable discontinuity at +/- 2
[2016-5-26. : 3:08 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- it's (16-x4) / (x2-4), which reduces to -x2-4 but changes whether x = +/- 2 is defined or not. ;o
[2016-5-26. : 3:02 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I just figured I'd ask since people here seem to know a thing about it. Had I had time at work to finish this, I would've just made it up as I went and been done with it
[2016-5-26. : 3:02 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- :P
[2016-5-26. : 3:02 am]
NudeRaider -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: This is the assignment introducing limits, so I don't know. :P
that solidifies my suspicion "no"
[2016-5-26. : 3:01 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I also didn't read the chapter
[2016-5-26. : 3:01 am]
NudeRaider -- since it's homework i'd assume technically correct. If it's graded just fucking add a sentence explaining on what it depends, you might even get extra points.
[2016-5-26. : 3:01 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- This is the assignment introducing limits, so I don't know. :P
[2016-5-26. : 3:00 am]
NudeRaider -- it all depends if whoever wants the answer wants a technicall correct answer or "something that works"
[2016-5-26. : 2:59 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Why is my homework asking me riddles? :(
[2016-5-26. : 2:59 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- oh, wait, it's not asking if f(x) = that, it's asking if the original definition of f(x) = that
[2016-5-26. : 2:59 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I'll so no, because that's probably a pretty big deal
[2016-5-26. : 2:58 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I want to say yes because algebraically it's the same (how I got it in the first place), except it has a different domain ;o
[2016-5-26. : 2:58 am]
NudeRaider -- Technically no.
[2016-5-26. : 2:56 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- If you have a function, and f(x) with x-> 2 = -8, but f(2) is undefined (divide by zero), and then you simplify the function and get -x2-4, does f(x) = that? I want to say yes, but it changes whether or not f(2) is defined so I want to say no ;o
[2016-5-26. : 2:56 am]
Moose -- Tell your mission I'm a family man
[2016-5-26. : 2:56 am]
Dem0n -- Moose, my mission is complete and ready for you to test! :awesome:
[2016-5-26. : 2:55 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- whee
[2016-5-26. : 2:55 am]
NudeRaider -- :O Moose's spell changed Demons shoutbox color!
[2016-5-26. : 2:55 am]
Dem0n -- O_______O
[2016-5-26. : 2:54 am]
Moose -- ╰(•̀ 3 •́)━☆゚.*・。゚ O________O
[2016-5-26. : 2:54 am]
Dem0n -- O_______________O
[2016-5-26. : 2:53 am]
Moose -- It does ... magic O_O
[2016-5-26. : 2:52 am]
Moose -- I don't think the CRON daemon process' CPU time includes the processes it runs.
[2016-5-26. : 2:52 am]
Corbo -- magic boxes*
[2016-5-26. : 2:51 am]
Corbo -- like shoutbox... raffle then what else? :P
[2016-5-26. : 2:51 am]
Corbo -- what does SEN do?
[2016-5-26. : 2:51 am]
Moose -- ex. SEN's cron daemon has used 3 minutes and 14 seconds of CPU time. In 275 days of uptime.
[2016-5-26. : 2:50 am]
NudeRaider -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: except I already shift+deleted them and don't remember the exact filenames, so I'll have to wait until they are created again.. and then by then I'll likely have forgotten xD
:D
[2016-5-26. : 2:50 am]
Moose -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Mini Moose 2707 my understanding was the cron daemon is running constantly and periodically calls stuff.
Right. I wasn't sure if you were referring to the daemon or the processes, but I can see that now.
[2016-5-26. : 2:49 am]
NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: NudeRaider Technically, the cron daemon process runs in the background, it just doesn't really do much most of the time unless it has shit to run. But even then, you were running it anyway so adding a new entry to /etc/crontab isn't really adding much overhead to your system.
my understanding was the cron daemon is running constantly and periodically calls stuff.
[2016-5-26. : 2:49 am]
Corbo -- LIKE I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT YOU'LL EVER LOOVE
[2016-5-26. : 2:49 am]
Corbo -- WANT YOU TO MAKE ME FEEL, LIKE I'M THE ONLY GIRL IN THE WORLD
