File Description
Finally, my ultimate fix of the Town Wars map.
This map is basically about to kill the rival city's mayors.
The version 4 offers MANY new features such as:

New Terrain :
- No doodads
- Extended terrain
- More buildable terrain
- Terrain is now balanced

New Units :
- Dropship
- Zergling (<= Firebat) (2 for 1)
- Zealot
- Ghost
- Corsair (<= Battle Cruiser)

New Buildings (Addons) :
- Disruption Research [Addon] (Physic Lab)
- Psi Blade Factory [Addon] (Covert Ops)

New Stats :
Units even more balanced!

Revive Potion :
Players can now revive.

Real-time Briefings :
Short Briefings are displayed at specific moments of the game.

No Death Boot :
No more players booted because they've died! (Which is the initial reason why I want to make a new version)

Lift-off Enabled :
For more organization within your city.

Turret System :
Turret will now change into a Pylon or a Cannon, depending on YOUR choice (top-left-corner of the map).

Plus, I've also added an invincible bank (so that there is some kind of a pressure point that pushes players to fight to own the bank (which will stay under control of a player as long as there is 1 unit near it)) and a handicap system where 2 vs 1, 3 vs 1 and 2 vs 3 will give a little advantage to the team that has the lowest number of players (only works if they are the starting teams).

Hey, I just wanted to bring back this map to life!
Who ever enjoyed a play of it?
I'd like some feedbacks/reviews! =D

Any suggestions for an other version would be appreciated (such as change in terrain, etc...). ^^

So far, I've hosted this last version 7 times and everyone that had played v1 said that the v4 was much better! :D
The one that didn't play v1 just said they loved the map.
... and the only way I would get negative comments is when it comes to test the famous Handicap System (for matches like 3 vs 1, 2 vs 1 and 3 vs 2) which gives extra ressources to the disadvantaged team.

There, I've fixed all bugs.
There shouldn't be ANYTHING wrong now :D

Nice job, and the invincible banks sounds like a giant brawl area

There we go! The brand new Town Wars map :D

[06:28 am]
NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[06:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

NudeRaider -- Symmetry
Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor
[02:28 am]
Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry -- Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
[08:51 pm]
NudeRaider -- Symmetry
Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.
[2026-7-15. : 4:10 am]
Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
[2026-7-15. : 2:19 am]
Symmetry -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
