I never really had an opportunity to have a real CTF game, mainly because of the lack of motivated people.

I've missed out on plenty....

We would always do it in PE with footballs, so if you could throw far, all you really had to do was get your hands on it :P Of course, there were about 16 footballs, 8 per side and 60 kids, so it was intense.

Hopefully I am not the only one who still plays this outdoor game. Teams of people get together and have to steal a flag from the other team, and bring it successfully back to their base without getting tagged (or tackled) by members of the opposing team. If such an event occurs, they are forced to go to a jail deep in enemy territory, where they must await to be freed by another of their teammates. The winning team is one that successfully brings the opponents flag to their base.

Recently I have been having the urge to start up some games of this old sport, possibly with actual flags and variations on rules, for instance maybe more than two teams at one time.

I was just wondering if anyone else still thinks this is the coolest game ever/still plays this awesome game.

i went through life never playing CTF, except on Unreal Tournament. This is probably because I live in Canada.

I played it a ton, still do at school. And Manhunt is basically one person tries to find and tag the others. Rules may vary greatly :). Manhunt is best played on a farm :)

Well.. Canada isn't great for CTF, but still, you can have a decent game.

Out in the forest, strategic bases, paintball and hidden flags and stuff. :omfg: Red v Blue

Think hide and seek mixed with tag. There's a lot of changes to the rules, usually if oyu tag someone they get on your team. Eventually you ned up with like 20 guys looking for the last guy.

We used to play it in Primary school. It saddened me when my friend literally announced to my group of friends that in high school we wouldn't be able to play it.

Just Here For The Pie

I feel like my childhood has been robbed, or left vaguely left blank.

I have never played Capture the Flag, but have always knew of it..
It is too late now, though.

Capture the Flag < Manhunt < Urban Capture the Flag

Heard some of you were from Canada. I originally heard of this at HTS, unfortunately, I live in the west coast :(

Well, if you're running around a city and you happen to fall... You can break bones coming down 4 feet if you do it wrong.

Wearing baggy pants and shoes that don't quite fit well, then trying to run really fast lol. I tumbled on the sidewalk, banged the side of my face, and some how slammed my collar bone area on there.
