How do you know it's not just a doodad?
I thought the same thing... but then I decided: Why would they have an epic battle over a cool looking doodad?

how do you know they're fighting for control of that doodad/xel naga structure?

Hahaha, I think that's a Protoss dancer in the hologram on top of the bar...
Most believes that the Merc Haven would have Nova on the hologram from StarCraft Ghost.

There's one, and it is very fucking obvious. Stop making what is so simple to find out, feel so fucking complicated for you to understand that you can easily do for yourself.

Omg...I just looked at this again and they absolutely killed the Zerg's threatening appearance. That could just be where they are though.

Yeah, I agree. Everything's just too cartoony. In SC2 the units don't look solid. They look like a bunch of polygons just floating around. In SC1 the graphics may have been older but the units looked solid, like you could reach in your computer and pick them up. Hopefully SC2 will get better at this by release.

The units are perfectly fine. The ultralisk looks like it can chop off my finger. If you haven't noticed, the development team killed off the "cartoony" look a while ago.

Maybe it's their whole approach. Maybe I just don't like the 3D aspect. It just feels too WC3 for me. And yes, the units do feel cartoony.

Again, maybe it'll get better by release.
