I'm sure BeDazed will make a fine leader who's 3rd in Command. =P

I'd just like you all to welcome our newest member, Garbeld... also known as EzDay to most SEN members.

Oh EzDay you don't have to re-log in, just don't hit refresh. Sometimes if your IP changes it will ask you to log in again.

Oh and do not concentrate all your colonies to one system. People aim for people like that since a cluster of resource bags are in one system. You can't possibly have that good of a defense for all the colonies. People who tended to colonize on the same systems are bound to be attacked.

"Don't put all your eggs in one basket."
Not exactly the same context, but still quite applicable.

"Oh EzDay you don't have to re-log in, just don't hit refresh. Sometimes if your IP changes it will ask you to log in again."
Odd. I thought my IP should be fairly static, although I've never bothered looking into it particularily.

A key:

Dial-up: dynamic IP *changes every time you connect*

Broadband (cable or other always-on net types): static IP *changes only when either you request a change or if the modem gets unplugged*

Bear in mind that these are only general definitions, and I could be wrong.

I have wireless, and sometimes my IP changes, it happens when my computer goes into standby mode, or if my screensaver becomes active??
It used to screw me up in ogame.
It may be because there r three ppl on the same wireless modem and it is confusing our IP's

Sep 10 2007, 4:04 am Cnl.Fatso Post #29

IP is per modem, not per computer.

None.

Sep 10 2007, 10:29 pm Ace Leader Post #30

All three of the computers on the wireless network have differnet IPs, so in this case yeseach computer has an IP

None.

Sep 11 2007, 1:59 am Hynk Post #31

Actually, Fatso is right, it's IP per modem (not really, but if you have a direct connection as in no router), but Ace is also correct, ever computer has an IP. In the case of having a router, the router has the network's IP, each computer has an IP address for the router. So if you are using Wireless or you have a router, the IP your computer has is the IP address within your network. The IP you send out, however, is your network's IP, which usually changes upon reconnecting.

An alliance from the greek site exists in OUR universe!!! And they know of starcraft!!! Yay!!! They are called "G.A." (Greek Alliance). I'm speaking to them right now. I hope they agree for an alliance. (if you do too of course, guys)

Sep 11 2007, 11:37 pm Hynk Post #33

ATG I believe you know how to speak/read/write Greek? Cool.
Anyway, I don't mind forming a NAP or alliance with them, just as long as everyone else doesn't mind.
And congratulations to Ace Leader for finally passing me in points with his extreme nerdyness and being on OGame all the time. =P

Should we just make a new invisionfree forum?
It seems we're expanding now.

But at alliance of this size, I don't really see the big necessity of it.

It'd just give us a good place to talk about our economies and strategies, and if we ever got into an alliance war or something, it'd be nice to have some forums for diplomacy.

EDIT: I'm being espionaged by n158 from his planet BlackBox at 1:12:9

If we're lucky, we can have a forum on SEN! =P Doubt that will happen.

Anyways, I'm not going to make the forum. I'm pretty busy with school at the moment and running out alliance (by that I mean playing OGame too), and I don't really have time to run a forum. Also my knowledge or PHP is pretty bad.
