Haha you don't have to imagine because in game it's nearly perfect. :D

Meh, nothing too special, just ruins inside of cliffs with doors.

Oh, and imagine that the back wall has no blocks either :P

There's some easy fixes, just blocks that came from your placement, fix those and it will look a lot better.

It's a wip. Ill try to get it perfected in about a week or less :D

A week? You have like a 10x20 area, it shouldn't take you that long to fix.

the bottom part is just too unnatural and monotonous, maybe find a better blend. nice try though

@ Falkner: Lol well i do have school and a job to juggle while others may have all the free time they want lol :P
@ Sie_Sayoka: Welcome back to the terrain forum! and yeah it is pretty repetitive, but the vision is good and it is really meant to be used in ancient temples more, not this setting but i haven't found anything good enough to replace it yet. :)

It must be tough to blend Ruins with those doors, but the blockiness is not as apparent as I've seen in many other maps. I agree that the bottom needs work, but I don't think I've seen any Ruins to High Dirt before. The in-game shadows really remove many of the flaws, too.

It is good man, but Falknor is right when you kind of barked at him. I am not hte greatest terrainer or terrian artist or w/e but still a good 10-30 minuets should be enough to clean it. I have school and job but nights are always alvalible and put in 10 minuets a night and you are set... if you cant do that then the map will never be completed

Purp I'm glad you caught the concept behind the project. Some terrainers believe that work that isn't in keeping with the same vision standards of regular Isom is nearly worthless... Especially if it is a cliff face because it destroys a whole aspect of the game(being that upper levels may peer down on lower levels, but not in the reverse). Beyond that, some simple shadows and fog of war can work as a veil to imperfections which should be a terrainers delight, but for some reason it is overlooked... Anyways nj for seeing a purpose behind my action :D

I see where you are coming from but I work much better in blocks. If i devote 10 minutes every day to terrain, by the end of the week I could have done all that i've accomplished and more in thirty minutes. :) See what I'm saying? Weekends are great because I can put 2-3 hours both sat and sun into terrain specifically :D

Its not that its terrible terrain, i just see tons of unnecessary blocks or pieces that can be fixed in seconds. This kind of tells me you need a little motivation to quit being lazy and fix it.

I like the concept, but as others have stated already, I agree that the bottom needs work. It's blocky and pretty repetitive along with the side walls as well. Also, the top door doodad dirt isn't blended very well either.

Well if I took out all the doodads it looks plain, yet blockless... And on the other hand If I add doodads it looks more complete yet it isn't perfect... Kinda a lose lose because I have yet to find a perfect doodad to fit this occasion but I deffinately don't want it to look plain. Ya mean?

And yes the bottom is very repetitive, but that arrangement is more geared for structure interiors where it is repetitive. I am looking for a better arrangement, but it is slow goings...

sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
