How do transmissions work?

I never used transmission trigger so I have a question on how they work.

When using them does it stop triggers further down the actions from running until the transmission is done? Or do I have to put a wait action after transmission for the same amount of time it plays to make it not run anything until its done?

  • For example if I had a trigger like this, would it play out the first transmission, then once finished play the 2nd one and after that one is done, kill the unit? Or will all of them activate at once?

    A transmission is actually a shortcut for a number of actions: It plays the wav for the specified duration. It creates a circle around the talking unit (this is the only one you can't replicate with other actions), shows the unit's portrait and then waits for the specified duration.

    The last part answers your question: The trigger hits a wait, which forces another trigger loop, skipping the current trigger. After the wait finishes the current trigger continues and the rest of the triggers of the current trigger loop are executed.
