I have a vHP system that spawns units in the following way:
1: It sets up a spawn area and a patrol location to which the spawned units are to be spawned at and ordered to patrol to, respectively
2: It detects if one of 120 small inverted locations is being used or not, starting from location 1 and going to location 120
3: When it finds one not in use, it moves that location to the spawn area and quits checking whether or not the other locations are in use
4: It then creates a zombie at a remote location for Player 8 (a computer ally)
5: It moves that zombie to the spawn area
6: It re-centers the small inverted location on the zombie owned by Player 8
7: It gives the zombie owned by Player 8 to Player 6 (a computer enemy)
8: It orders the zombie owned by Player 6 to patrol to the patrol location
And later on in the triggers I have a different set up of that moves a burrowed unit to each of the inverted locations in use and then moves it back, to slow down the zombies. It begins to run for the inverted locations immediately after (i.e. in the same trigger cycle and for every trigger cycle afterwards) the location becomes in use.
Anyway, the problem is that the zombies aren't patrolling when they spawn - they just sit there
And in other triggers, like when a car alarm goes off and orders all zombies in a large area around the car to patrol to it, they do move, so I know that they CAN patrol, it's just that they don't when they spawn.
Anyone know why?
