It's been a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time since I last came here. So...

Hi again everyone!

How's the modding scene so far? I stopped playing SC1 a while back cuz I had problems with playing the awesome custom campaigns I'd downloaded then. Thinking of coming back to the SC1 scene again soon.

Any new recommendations for campaigns to play? :D

Thanks! :)

she/her

The modding scene is rather dead. The active modders here perhaps can be counted on one hand.

(I do not know much about the mapping landscape.)

Hello!

Just here for the pie

The mapping community is still kicking, though active production is mostly limited to the really short map contests we hold sometimes. I don't know of any notable larger-scale maps currently in the works.

If you want suggestions on some good mods that came out I could suggest a number of them.

Posting them here so that everyone can see them.
These are mods that have stable releases and even run on SC 1.16.1

StarCraft Revolution mod (My favorite) Has some concepts, units and mechanics similar to SC2, seems like it is discontinued since the creator of it seem to simply have vanished but the mod doesn't dissapoint.

Burning Ground is a cool mod using SC2 and custom SC2 graphics to deliver a very diferent but yet entertaining game.

SUM (Super Unit Mod) A mod that adds a super unit to each race

There are more mods but they are practically not done or are discontinued.

StarCraft V is a mod that aims to recreate SC2 multiplayer but has yet to be completed, in paralell he's making a mod with different building and unit compositions so do not get confused with things you'll see that are not from SC2 multiplayer because that would be he's other mod.

Here there is a list of some more mods, most of these mods do not seem to run on SC 1.16.1 and are incomplete or discontinued permanently or temporary.
