Magic box god; Suck it Corbo

Night 2

Elsewhere within the darkness, a tiny beep signified the reconnection of a pair of AR Visors to the Megamass cyberspace. Azrael's status silently flickered from offline to online as the night ended...
Day 3 ends Monday, October 15, 11:59 PM (EDT)

As far as I know, novice detective is not that color and can't come back from the dead.

Oct 15 2012, 7:54 pm Azrael Post #242

1) No roles are that color.

2) Null players are never exposed publicly.

3) We are currently killing the last Null.

4) Null cannot come back from the dead either.

Hence, your "explanation" above makes no sense.

Some variation of Feign Death was used on me.

Now again, explain why you stated that I'm Null. Don't try to backpedal.

That was exactly why I thought that. If that's not the case and I misunderstood something then I apologize. But now that you mention it, I have reason to believe that Roy might be reviving also.

Well..
I vote for Raccoon.

None.

What? Can you explain this?

Edit: Anyone who hasn't put their vote on Raccoon yet needs to do so. I don't want Mafia pulling some shit at the last minute to save him.

Day 3

Vote Tally:
1. Raccoon - Fire_Kame (1)
2. Sacrieur - Raccoon
3. poison_us - Generalpie (1)
4. BiOAtK - Raccoon
5. SmE(Raitaki - Raccoon
6. Fire_Kame - Raccoon
7. Leeroy_Jenkins - Raccoon
8. Leon-037 - Raccoon
9. Generalpie - Raccoon (7)

Votes accounted for: 9/13

Personnel to be eliminated: Raccoon

Without any leads and with the ratio of citizens to Megamass operatives steadily decreasing, most of the remaining group members decided that something had to be done. With some contention, the collective arrived at the general consensus that Raccoon had to go.

As the group converged upon him, Raccoon signaled for them to stop and began a long monologue, condemning the town for their apparently foolishness.

"Dear Town," he opened, "I am disappointed by your decision to pursue through this regrettable resolution, however, I am not surprised. My only hope is that the gatekeepers of the afterlife will see the matter differently than you have."

"My destiny was stolen from me very early on in this conflict. It was not my choice to have become the man I am today. My mind always plagues me with the question, if I had not been corrupted, would things have played out differently? The thought of what I am now has truly haunted me over these past few days. Yet even more so in these last minutes of my life than I could have ever imagined. But given the events of these past few hours, I am confident that, had I been given the chance, I would have lead this town to prosperity myself. Had I only the chance..."

Raccoon wiped the tears from his cheek and continued, "I know that you may disagree with my actions, and others will as well. This is beyond my control. However, I cannot imagine that those watching over us could ever convict me of doing such evils, no matter how low their opinion of my actions could be. You must understand one basic fact, for this all to make sense, my dear Town: I sacrificed all I had to ensure the safety of all of you," he lamented, "And while the law has many penalties for the atrocities we inflict on others, there are no punishments for the terrors that we inflict on ourselves."

"So come, kill me. You won't find a fight. All you'll find is an old piece of corrupted data. An old piece of data tired, but satisfied knowing he did his duty. An old piece of data weary from a mind in constant conflict between corruption and justice," he declared with vigor, "Sincerely yours, Former Novice Hacker Raccoon."

Some members of the group were visibly moved, but at the urgings of their impatient peers, they too stepped forward and commenced the deed. Raccoon's AR visors were soon confiscated and shut down as the remaining members of the group muttered amongst each other, unsure as to what to make of this spectacle.

I know someone who disassembled Roy last night. The result hinted towards a revival unless I managed to misunderstand what it said. But the PM was very clear, See for yourself.

You attempt to disassemble Roy's AR visors, but you realize that it is not broken when you are halfway done. You carefully put it back together, analyzing its current status.

Roy's AR Visors do not appear to be infected. You determine that Roy's AR Visors were remotely shut down from within Megamass Headquarters, with the UID modified to display an affiliation not corresponding with the original.

Roy's AR Visors appear to be in a state of self-repair. You determine that it is approximately 33% complete.

Roy is completely town, gotcha. New hub, when revived? New hub, when revived.

In case you didn't catch it, Raccoon put his role in his last will....we should make this a habit. Everyone needs to send in their last will to Aristocrat. That way, if the mafia is manipulating roles we'll know when you die that a change has been made.

Oct 17 2012, 5:00 am Aristocrat Post #251

Night 3

Yet another night had mostly passed seemingly without incident; the domiciles of the remaining group members, however, were rife with cybernetic activity.

A young man stared intently at the output of the error console displayed before him, while simultaneously typing up a storm with the projected keyboard before him in an attempt to correct the problems he saw. He has the technology to create a vaccine for his current affliction, but he could not spare the time to do so in his current predicament.

Suddenly, the door to his room was swung open, and an attractive woman walked through casually. The young man stood up in alarm, but his gaze quickly shifted to the abundant bust of the intruder. She stopped in her tracks and seductively winked at him, moving her hands to remove her already-revealing top.

Leon-037's AR visors were gently and discreetly removed from his face as he remained transfixed by the spectacle. Before he could figure out what happened, the woman had disappeared without a trace before he could feast his eyes upon what he knew was about to be revealed next. He frantically searched his room, only to find that his door remained in the closed and locked position, as if it had never been opened in the first place.

A large reservoir of explosive cybersubstances simultaneously reacted and created an enormous fissure in cyberspace after the kiloton-equivalent explosive shockwave subsided; Megamass's backup systems were quicker to respond this time, correcting the anomaly in only thirty-two minutes. Unfortunately, Sacrieur was unable to escape the crippling effects of the explosion, his connection with cyberspace now lost.

Also, wtf a second Feign Death-ish thing? O_O

Oct 17 2012, 5:05 am Aristocrat Post #253

In embarassment, Leon-037 did not volunteer to distribute his last words. Third-party efforts dug up a string that was evidently his last will, written: "BioAtk told me I will die tonight unless I do what he says. He wants me to tell him who all the town roles are that I know. I told him I wouldn't betray the town and he got mad. If I die then he is a mafia."

None.

Oct 17 2012, 5:38 am Azrael Post #254

I attempted to follow Leeroy last night, but I got a result that says I followed BiOAtK instead. Aristocrat assured me this is the result I was supposed to get, so obviously something sketchy is going on, one way or another.

Quote
BiOAtK visits Leon-037's residence. No one visits him.

For now, I vote for BiOAtK.

If this night result was tampered with (considering I didn't even try to shadow him), then I ask that Bio say as much.

Update: A person claiming to be the Encoder just sent me a PM saying he redirected my night action at BiOAtK.

Oct 17 2012, 12:54 pm Azrael Post #256

So, I got up this morning and Aristocrat had sent me another PM. These are the entire contents of it.

Order: Only obey orders issued by me for the rest of the game.

Order: Separate yourself and only yourself every night for the rest of the game.

I take this to mean that the Infiltrator has been activated, and I've been Suggested to "Separate myself" for the rest of the game.

Fun fact: I'm not Architect

If someone Shadowed me last night, share the results so we know who visited me. That will most likely be the Infiltrator.

I'm being framed. I'm a Novice Architect. If I die, I assume I'll have some beguiler change to my death to make me appear mafia-aligned. Either Leon was mafia-aligned or someone changed his will.
I abstain for now.

EDIT:
Also! Notice how Leon tried to not give out his will, or something screwy happened with it. It was tampered with.

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless
[05:02 am]
Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value
[05:01 am]
Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Ultraviolet -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
[12:51 am]
Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
