I have a very maco intensive map where players tend to use a selection hack to move all their units at once, which allows them all to fight at once instead of in a stream or w/e. If anyone has anything on this I"d greatly appreciate it.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
If you have a map in which you build units which will be transfered to something else (with the help of triggers), you can detect higher amount of that units.
E.g. in 1 map I made, you build units to change the passive production of a Barracks (money, swords or bows). If the player brought at least 7 Marines/Firebats/Ghosts/Medics there (with massive lag everyone could construct a few units within 2 frames), the player was booted and a message was given to the other players that he used that hack.
But that's only a rare & special case where you can detect that without using EUDs.
Either get some EUD help in detecting the hacks, or have an EUD to detect when a player has >12 players selected.
I was about to suggest this. Try looking in the UMS theory forum for more info on how to actually make your EUD triggers. If you have specific questions after looking up the info, come back here and post em up.

K thanks guys, I'll look into all this tomorrow when I have time

The extra unit selection data must be stored somewhere, the question is if it's in a static location, but it probably isn't so it'd be unreliable to detect with EUDs.
This method only detects when the hacker selected all units and ordered them. He can still select more than 12 within his screen and not be detected, but it's better than nothing.

Thanks for the info guys and the map yoonkwun. However, I need to allow players to look anywhere on the map so that specifically won't work.
I still haven't gotten around to looking at the UMS theory page, will do tomorrow for sure. TY.

Ok so I took a look at the EUDs and found a way to detect when a player selects more than 12 units, however, not all hacks actually select more than 12 units, just orders them. I'm going to see if I can implement yoonkwuns system in some way. If you have any other ideas lemme know.
What I really need is a way to detect if more than 12 units are being ordered at the exact same time.

Ok I have no idea how to do this
I'm not an EUD mastermind I just need an anti hack. So if anyone could post any ideas that'd be great.

Well if you use some form of EUD text detection it could technically work but it's only for when the hack is turned on or off in-game, and since most hacks are loaded before entering a game this method isn't really optimal. You would need very sensitive location grids or limit the amount of units they have, but those are just off-the-top suggestion's.

This map literally detects when more than 12 units are selected. Hackers that use Oblivion have to select more than 12 units to order them so they can be detected with this. However hacks like Apocalypse allow them to order all the units of a same type without selecting them, therefore they won't be detected. I don't think it's possible to prevent this unless you use my previous map.
Edit: Sorry if this is old news, just read your post.

Alright, thanks guys. I already implemented an anti-selection hack, but I guess it doesn't really matter since starcraft 2 is back up xD
