Quote
  • Origin: Man-made, multiple possible manufacturers
  • Found: Symmetry has many, several in his room, not in, can be on raised horizontal surfaces, I might own some (depending upon my living conditions)
  • Time: Existed for "long" time, Symmetry might have owned them for a "long" time.
  • Existential status: A physical object, was never alive, non-electrical
  • Size/weight: Not larger than a toaster, weighs less than 3 pounds
  • Identifiable characteristics: Can be colorful, easily movable, elongated shape
  • Function: Not for entertainment, interacted with by humans, meant to be in one place, not important to daily life, used for productivity, single primary use, doesn't store information (like a dictionary?)
  • Composition: Something easily breakable (and if dropped), doesn't shatter if dropped, no moving parts, more than one material, not expensive, non-metal, non-wood, possibly contains carbon
  • Possibilities: Isn't a dictionary, isn't a pen or pencil, isn't a picture frame, isn't a soda can, isn't a laser mouse.
This better?

Do you interact with it using your hands?

Edit: Is it wholly solid?

Does 'productivity' (my earlier question) more involve the mind rather than the body?

Edit: Is it mostly plastic?

Edit: Does it weigh more than than 1 pound?

Edit: Is it larger than a pencil?

Edit: Does its primary function involve being moved in any way?

Edit: Does its primary function relate to your job?

Edit: Do you never attach anything to it?

I guess so.

Everything there seems accuracte.

When not in use.

Uh... Yes? Maybe? I'm not sure.

Some might, most probably don't.

More than likely yes.

Whoa. Non-plastic, but not wholly solid when in use. Interact with it using your hands, yet its primary function doesn't involve being moved in any way. Most of them are not heavier than 1 pound.

This is indeed a riddle!

I presume by answering 'no' to my never attach question, you mean that you DO attach things to it?

Is it used in hygiene?

None.

Jun 23 2010, 1:08 am The Starport Post #132

Let's see...

Is it composed mostly of one particular material?

Does its composition include fabric?

Does its composition include liquid?

Does it change shape/size?

Does its use involve changing shape/size (rather than being moved?)?

*Is it identified by a single name?

Does it come in different shapes/sizes by design (as opposed to something the owner does to it)?

Do you happen to have any spare tube socks I could borrow?

:bleh:
