I agree that the starting minerals should only be 35, but also, I think you should still get your starting civ. Otherwise heroes that depend on mana early game are very disadvantaged (i.e LM, Volt, Summoner -not so much anymore, Archer, etc). I do like what you have done with the spells though. I also think that spawn control should be taken out of the game entirely, as it can be easily abused by depriving the biggest threat on the other team of exp. Also, if you make it so that your not invincible at the temple, that would help balance the game out a lot as well, and have it only heal every so often. Also, even though it is short for 1.7, I just don't like the idea of calling it Temple Siege 7, because now when they make (if they make it) TS 2 for SC2, it will just be plain odd.

Wait? I just read back a bit and it made it sound like this map is a SC2 map? Or is this SC1?

I agree. Calling it 7 is ... un professional. Call it Temple siege x.xFB Like Moose did for M assuming the M stands for Moose

Okay, I will re-install the old starting civ system.

Testing will be later tonight for anyone that wants to test, maybe starting 10-11pm EST. Channel op Sen, just msg me online.
Expect game-breaking bugs, we are here to find them.

As for the name, I haven't actually put "7" in the map yet- so in the meantime it can be called 1.7 or 7 and either may go into the final name.

Looks pretty sweet. If you're in need of any terrain, I'll be glad to help :)

To everyone else,
I've been a little busy lately making knife sheaths, helping a relative install a water heater, and attending a wedding- so I'll be back to re-test soon.

How much progress. Its has been 2 weeks. Also if a mutant uses l1b will its still be able to view the whole map.

Yes, mutant can still see the map.

I've been very busy the past few weeks, and haven't really touched the map. I was going to re-change Psion's spells, fix the EUD text display, then release the 2nd Alpha.

I suggest putting a mineral behind the temple so the probe can return easier

Wow, how long does it take to make a knife sheath? You didn't forget did you? My mouth has been watering over this since i first read this thread at the time of my first post, and it's not good for you to let your mouth water over something you're not going to get. I (maybe regrettably) told some TSers about this and, well I got some criticism. The mutant's L1 L1 was deemed as "rigged as hell" by Derelict.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Try it in the showcase topic

Well, I've been really busy since the beginning of this school semester. I haven't had much time to work on this map, but I also haven't forgotten. I honestly don't know when I will have some time, as least until after the semester is over (late December).

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort

Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
