Ok I started a new map on Space tileset in SCMDraft 2 but when I changed the colors for the computer players (p6 and p8) it won't change. I want the computer to be Purple (p6)and the other one Black(p8), but the colors are not taking effect. I tried all kinds of things, but it is keeping them at the default colors (brown and yellow).
Any ideas why it's doing that?
None.
The map must be Brood War (scx) for the player colour changes to take effect.

I had that "auto-color-switching-bug" too with ScmDraft.
In the map description the extended colors (and others) are registered, but ingame I only see the standard colors in standard order (red-blue-teal- ect.). Btw. it is a Broodwar Map (.scx).
I never came to find out WHY it is happening or how to fix it with ScmDraft. It appeared only with 1 map so far though and is very persistent... often when I only change small things the colors screw up.
I found the following workaround:
- Set the colors to normal text colors from the dropdown menu
- Save
- Open the map in another editor
- Set the desired extended colors there
- Save the map again
You should report this bug and add the most important facts of your map (like I did). The fact that it's a rare bug makes it important to give the programmer as much info as possible to help him fix that in future versions.
EDIT: I just had an idea: Maybe it happens when you create a .scm map and later save it to .scx. Did you to that?
