Here's a nubby 3d model I made.
Tell me if it sucks for my first model.
None.
Not bad, although it looks like the first computer model of the world (the style).
You might experiment a bit around, that's what I've done today:
Also as a hint: when presenting a model on a picture I recommend showing it in different points of view (front, back, side)
Also, I reocmmend Wings 3D if you don't use it already, it's userfriendly and easy. Inside of the mod dicussion forum there is a tutorial-post for it which is written very good.
Please report errors in the Staredit.Network forum.
I switch between Wings and Google Sketchup. Both are excellent for their own things.

I did this today:
In all seriousness, it's decent for a first "model". My first model was some kind of duck made with just moving verticies around in a cube...

TBH, depending on how old you are, it wasn't that great. But, if it's for a mod or something, it should be fine.
Not to put you down or anything, I'm sure you will get heaps better in no time!

Here's a new one I made today. Still very much a work in progress, need to texture, stuff like that.

Better than I can do. I honestly suck at modeling. I tried with Wings 3d. I think I'm just not cut out for 3d modeling.
