When I create a map, I just can't make computers build, expand, deploy normally in a standard way... You know what I mean: when you create a melee or FFA game with any kind of normal map like BGH, the computer will build in a standard way, expand around his own base, eventually expand and create another base, and by the meantime attack all the time.

When I create a map and I want just to have these same kind of computer AI behavior, I just cant get it to work. It is a mess, always a mess. Wether I use, let's say (for a zerg comp opponent), the expansion zerg campaign insane AI script or whatever other script there is, the computer always acts stupid. While is base is in the corner of the map, he creates his pylons or barracks or whatever in the middle of the map (now that's clever, and moreover, he tries to build over his own allied up computer partners' constructions, ending in bringing back his own peons at home and having nothing built because of building placement conflicts, etc...).

With zerg, its even dummer. The zerg will always build AFTER any protoss or human. Indeed it takes more ressources to create a hatchery. When protoss and humans computes (FINALLY) build properly or something like that, in a bizarre way in the middle of the map, the zerg just sees he wont build a hatchery there, thre are too many buildings. So he stays comfortably mining at homebase, not building anything... Not training any unit, and all that. He mines. And maybe at the end of the game he will discover a way to create a base at the other side of the world, and then start expanding in a sub normal way but you know, more productive than his previous strict mining behavior.

Wow, why didn't they create a standard script (something like YDNTGABDTGID AI script), AKA you dont need to get a bachelor's degree to get it done AKA normal AI behavior like in any good old melee or FFA games, instead of this pain in the neck LGSLMITMOTM complicated script AKA "let's get stuck like morons in the middle of the map with tons of conflicts and losses of time related to doing something at the other end of the world when you should just do it right around you" computer ai script.

If you feel the need to know why I won't just do a standard melee, well it's simple, I want to have a custom setup to start the game, I want to determine where I start with my teammates, so we have one closed spot for our allied bases, and I also want 1 scv, 1 drone and 1 probe for all my team mates, forming one big dream team alliance against 5 comps (again, why can't I just give them a standard setup to be determined manually when I start the game, like in melee game, i.e. if today we decide to do a 3 humans against 5 zerg comps, we don't need to change the computer race on the map itself, but nevertheless we still have our 3 different race builders and predetermined spots at the beginning, not a mere 4 peons of one race and a base. That's for the comps, not for us.

Thanks ALOT for your answers, I've tried a lots of stuff for more than 8 hours and I am sick and tired of this... I don't want to mod, just want to have normal AI behavior.

Since an image is worth a thousand words, take a look at my map, made with both staredit scripts and SCMDRAFT2 unit placement and attribution.

Try centering a location to the computer's building, then running the AI script at that location like in the map I attached.

O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- below the minimap should be a thing that says "Overlay Settings" with a little + button in the corner, press the + to expand it, uncheck Use Defaults, then change "Tile Overlay" to "Height"

Sylph-Of-Space -- It would be so so so nice if SCMDraft had some kind of dedicated "walkability" view for the tilesets.
