Why would you start off in Russia? They're a puppet of Indonesia and occupied by PEACE.

Centreri told me it was a good place... and it looked like a good spot for a potential takeover later on down the road when I could make a political party, as it had good natural resources, a common enemy (Romania, who apparently split the Russians in half), and only two parties...

EDIT: So, uh, what the heck do I do first? I read all the beginning tutorials and everything, but I can't figure out how to do anything...
EDIT2: In the meantime while waiting for a response on how to fix the language problem, I found the list of jobs... there's only 7 jobs available for my level group, so at least I don't have to research a ton of potential choices... the top paying one says it's for serbs only, so I guess I can't join it... and there's 2 gift companies that pay 2.50 (I'm assuming it's in rubbles), and everything else pays 2.00. Which of the two companies that pay 2.50 should I join? Is there a way I can decide or do I just choose one and hope it's good?

The pay in Kaliningrad is better than that in the Americas, the market is underdeveloped in certain areas, and there's room for greatness. That message you got is alone, it's a generic welcome message.

First, job market, search for a job that requires no manufacturing, and pays the highest you can get for that no manufacturing. Get the job, work, and get like $4. Go to the marketplace and buy some Q2 food if you can afford it or Q1 otherwise. Then go to the army menu and train to get your strength up.

You pretty much repeat this every day, until you get to higher levels. Like, today I fought in an ally's war, did almost no damage, but a few more wars like that and I'll reach the next military rank. It also speeds up leveling. Now, I'll be trying to gather 40 gold to start a new Political Party. Center-Right/Authoritarian. The current leaders are Center-Left/Libertarian.

How do I know if a job requires no manufacturing? And what's your username on eRepublic, so we can team up and take over Russia and beat back the evil Romanians? =D

EDIT: Ok, I found a company... how do I start working? The link that says "You should work today" gives me a 404 error....
EDIT2: Ok, I finally found it... it says my total productivity is 0.24... the variables were as follows: Basic Productivity - 0.16, Worker Bonus - 50%, Experience - (+1)8, Wellness - (-1)49, Land skill - (+0.5)0.5.
So what exactly does all that mean?

Ok, Centreri's explained most of the stuff to me =). Methinks I get it now. As for Venezuala, I dunno, but Centreri and I are implanted in Russia to eventually take over the government and free it from Romania and Indonesia (hopefully) =D.

How much are you guys getting paid? I might just move out of Canada.

My salary here in Russia is 2.50 for my 0 exp job in the gift industry =). Russia seems pretty undeveloped, so it's a great place to start a company or get a job (prices seem to be relatively low too =D).

EDIT: Another problem: Most of the newspapers are written in Russian (some have English translations). Will this be a problem or is all the important stuff translated into English?

I'm like lvl 5 and get 4 bucks.

I get 10 rubles in a land where Q1 food costs 1.35 rubles. Or lower. I can probably get 15 with another job, but I'm too lazy to switch. I think we're better off here in Russia than you are in US. The Kaliningrad Oblast has a Q5 hospital, there's currently one active war going on, and I'm now level 10. I highly recommend SEN relocate to Russia, because it'll be much easier to get power here. I'm level 10 with 3 manufacturing skill, so 10 wages are understandable. Pre-3 skills wages are currently bad, the best I see currently being 4.5 rubles, though, as I said, it jumps to 12.5 the next level. If we get 8 people in Russia, we'll be able to start our own political party.

WoAHorde, what's really stopping Russia, China, and a few other countries from allying up against Indonesia?

So, let's start discussing ahead of time what our political party will be all about so we don't have problems with it later?
Even if the purpose of you all is just to bring power to SEN, people aren't gonna join a political party that essentially says that one group of people (that's not them) is superior to everyone else, so we need some kind of policy.
I shall give you a brief overview of my idea for a political party:
Name: "Balconists" ("The Russian Hive Mind" or "The Human Hive" might also work)
The name comes from a quote I made up myself one time - "You have your Conservatives on the right, and your Liberals on the left. They both essentially believe nothing other than that the other side is evil, and they both are blind to any policies other than their's and their enemy's. I'm up in the balcony, looking down and laughing at them both."

The core beliefs of my political idea are these two things:
1.) The success of government comes not from the fairness of it's policies (or lack thereof), but primarily from a lack of opposition. Simply put, you can do anything as long as no one stops you.
2.) Might doesn't make right, but if you have might and use it wisely, people will have no way of knowing that you aren't right.

My "Hive Mind" government is essentially what the Zerg had in starcraft before kerri took over. Sigh, the Overmind was awesome... why did Blizzard have to kill all the characters that I liked? XD Er, back on topic... the Hive Mind is essentially an upgraded version of communism that enforces it's policies through control of the people's minds rather than with guns (whether it be through drugging the people, using propaganda, replacing people's brains with computers, etc).

Since the party is different from both the right and the left, I would just call it "Center" economically, and "Totaltarian" for the social policy, obviously.

How does it sound?
