rescuable player not chaging alliance status?

im using the exact same system of triggers for two different situations in this map and it works one time, and not the other. in both of them, player 4 is a computer, player 5 and 6 are rescuable. i want the computer and rescuable units to become enemies so right as you approach the base to rescue it, you will see them fighting. this is the one that works

player 1: brings any unit to area attack oj
set switch "oj attack"

player 4: "oj attack" is set
set player 5 (oj) to enemy

player 5: "oj attack" is set
set player 4 (cpu) to enemy

this one doesnt work.....

player 1: brings any unit to area attack brown
set switch "brown attack"

player 4: "brown attack" is set
set player 6 (brown) to enemy

player 6: "brown" is set
set player 4 (cpu) to enemy

they're exactly the same, but for some reason player 5's trigger is working and player 6's isnt. you can look at my map and triggers and try to figure it out

Could you also tell us what happens incorrectly with the one that doesn't work? That would help solve the problem.

oh sorry if i forgot to say that... player 6 just doesnt change to become player 4's enemy. once the trigger fires, player 4 will attack player 6 whos units will just stand there and get mowed down without responding at all

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Rescueable players themselves are like neutral players and won't attack. Same for defeated players.
So make sure he isn't defeated and that you give/rescue his units to another player if he's rescueable.

ok i just did some testing and it turns out that if i added goliaths and tanks to player 5 they were just as unresponsive as player 6... but player 5's bunkers were still defending... maybe a rescuable player will only attack with bunkers? (or turrets too?)

Are you sure that the rescuable units in question have in fact, already been rescued? Or have they been moved to a separate location?

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
