In the game I was citing, I was mutant and my teammate was phantom (and our other opponent was assault).

As mutant, the earth demon can only get off two attacks at most before I'm within L2 range. If you don't unburrow (and stay unburrowed because I'm faster than you), you get devoured by the L2. When the ED uses his obs spell I just run away and wait for it to wear off, then run back in, not too hard.

As a phantom, my buddy noticed that their ranges are similar, and you can actually micro-dodge the lurker's attacks. Obviously, at night the phantom is at a disadvantage though.

actually the lurk has very lil chance at night either if phantom plays properly and has spells. l3 of phantom tears lurk up. the only way he could possibly do any dmg to phantom is if he carefully avoids using his l2 obs, even then its pretty damn hard, or he doesnt have l3.

agreed the lurker is overpowered atm with his spell 3 affecting all opponents on the map no matter where they are. being in the location area just makes the spell stronger. i can kill every character nearly every time, including that bitchy dragoon. Ijust cant let him get too much mana. He is the best "team" player out there. in fact i assim everytime i play with him because its better for my partners to power up while i just get 240mana and L3. I have yet to lose a game playing with the lurk. although i have not encountered a medic opponent yet. even then i can rush to spell 3 and will probably be able to kill medic before he can get fh.

mana or no mana makes no difference. its pretty much wether or not they are on equal spell lvls once phantom gtes l3 its over for lurk no matter what time of day/night it is. it only takes 1-2 l3s to terminate lurk at night provided your not the one thats gets screwed assiming.

unholy sorry to hear that u and moose are spliting and hes sticking with the original map and you with the new version. honestly i like both of your guys' work. it results in a much better product. only problem with u guys spliting is you dont do enough actually testing but you do come up with the better ideas i believe. will prolly need to stop procrastinating so much. And atm bugs are killing 1.5. imbalances aren't things that need to be fixed immediately but bugs do. problem is this creates alot of versions.
speaking of bugs the rine keeps suffering a death here and there when he actually hasnt die and receives a vulture to make up for it. this is hugely annoying. i got so owned by a rine. he mined top spot which he stole thnx to his drop and put vulture by one of his gysers which i normally go for. i was obliterated. vulture and ling bug very annoying. psion spell bug is only annoying to those who havent played him a while to get accustomed to his spells.

Can someone upload a replay of them doing good with the Lurker against any competent opponents? The only classes that it should even do remotely well against are the Firebat and Medic, and obviously L3 works in a supporting role.

um... a class without an air attack/stun move, itll do good against.. so... mutant? though mutant is a no go since unholy still didnt fix him up, i honestly tried but the trigger kept breaking when reprotected so i gave up, posted a fix for the spell2 though so he only needs to do 4 =P

i say god damn freaking rine comes in second. mana burn, 2 stuns which unburrow me, range and oh yea what else did i forget nuke and 3 super ghosts. idk that fucker is a pain if played by a good rine person. infact rine and mutant are so close id almost say they are tied. the reson being poor ling cant kill his observer day or night. although deadly night vision would be pretty bad for my poor lurk. l3 still might be able to grapple if i see it quick enough. l1 isnt bad either although im totally not sure if it stops mutant as we havent been able to play him :< (his l1 not sure if it shows player 12 spider mines). i give mutant night advatage and rine gets day atvantage. and for 2nd since i tied the other 2 for first ill give that to the silly phantom. curses at his l3.

Phantom spell 3 sucks against anyone faster than a ghost (which is all but 3). They can just run out of it. Location needs to be bigger, or once the player gets "hooked", they're hooked until the spell is over. Otherwise it's just a copy of the assault's grenade, without a fuse, since you just have to leave the scourge in place for them to be trapped.

nah, they shouldnt stay hooked, but the hooking location should definately be bigger, youll only be able to move someone like what 4 tiles?

Yes, his point is messed up and completely violates probability laws and common sense, but we saw this issue in the MT tournament where the marine was rigged, everyone knew it, I was the only one who admitted it, and the top team won if they took marine.

Random spawning location would be good.

Um, no? We never rematched the finals, I was the one who suggested we have two different games because the top team has an advantage, or that they should give us the top. We had two separate games open for 5 minutes because we knew whoever had top would win, and even though they claimed Marine wasn't rigged, they refused to move to the bottom team and said I was "just making things difficult."

But by all means, keep making things up.

Temple Siege is an amazing map... but you need some work on this version. i would like to hear when you get a unbuggy version of this out so i can play with the new characters (phantom being favorite of the new 3) without worrying about bugged lurkers pwning me and engineer making hundreds of seige tanks come outta nowhere... (btw i did this bug only once, where you make a depot and all of a sudden tanks start spawning like crazy and you can go up to em and siege them and they become yours... and the depot just stays there... doesnt vanish) <<< insane stuff

One quick suggestion here maybe?
I noticed if a player masses spawn level ups, it RAPES the other team, so maybe, take that out and put in upgrade spawn hp for example and leave the spawn to level up off time?
