Yeah, it's epic; it gives me a serge of adrenaline. Renee Walker is annoying as hell(like all of Jack's "partners"; e.g Chase Edmunds), but I doubt she's dead. I'm curious to see if Wayne Palmer will make a reemergence, although he'd have to be crippled as Noah Daniels was still President when Taylor assumed office.

Haha, that sucks that you're in California. I have already finished watching the episode while you have to wait 2 hours before it even starts.

The sword and the faith

24 is the reason I haven't lost all faith in TV.

24 is an awesome good show. I started watching with season 7 and am also catching up on all the other seasons (currently on Season 3).

They do a good job.

i really liked the first 4 ish seasons, but after the biological weapon one they started to get repeditive and cheesey... You know jack wont ever die, no matter how many bad guys there are, and you know the terrorists wont carry out their master plan. But i admit, it is pretty entertaining. I havent seen this season at all, i dont have tv, but i saw last season and it went really down hill...I thought it was stupid how his brother and dad were the bad guys, to coincidental.

I personally like the british show MI-5 better, its alot more realistic, and the main characters actually die or retire.

This season of 24 isn't turning out so great. It doesn't have it's charm anymore.

Never really liked it much. The plot is all twisty and action packed, but not in a ridiculous and overexagerated way. As if all the writers sat down and had a brainstorm on what's the most absurd and intense terrorist based plot we can throw Jack into, and things like a deadly virus or Jack's fake death come up. It's all so hyped up and over-dramatic.

That's what it's supposed to do.

The most intense situations are the ones that endanger characters that can die that you actually care about. The ones with Jack are far less intense as he can't die. He's still entertaining though.

One example is tonight when I thought Tony was gonna get killed by those guys after the exchange was made, but then I realized that Jack was there and then he started sniping them. I love how they handled that situation.

And before that how Jack made it look like he shot Renee. That was awesome and reminded me of Season 1 where he shot Nina but not before secretly giving her a bullet proof vest.

So much crazy shit happens in 24 that I don't even remember all of it, I just know that when I see it for the first time it's like :omfg: :hurr:

I just don't find something dramatic-event whored to that degree very entertaining. I kind of look at it like how fart jokes are entertaining, but on a much lower level than actual clever jokes. There's cleverly written show out there, and then there's shows like 24 where it's like every plot twist is written as if the show's going under and they need to throw some crazy desperate idea into the mix to attract viewers and keep it afloat.

24 has great writing and the plot twists aren't ridiculous, they're awesome.
