Are you sure the palette of the BMP is correct? If so what program did you use to compile it to a GRP? I might have had that problem with RetroGRP before.
just try decompling a sc grp, then paste that over the bmp in paint and recompile... with a good compiling program

Palettes wrong, change it in Photoshop, or GIMP.

You must have applied the palette wrong. If you don't know how to work with palettes, tell us what image editor you use and someone could give you the correct steps to do it. For now, the easiest way for you is to just do what Rory said:
1) Decompile an existing GRP with a correct units.pal
2) Open the resulting BMP in Paint or something and simply paste your image on top
3) Save BMP
4) Compile BMP to GRP
ok
it worked! thanks
I wonder why it does that?

Because each pixel has an index that points to a color in the palette, if your palette is wrong then the pixels point to to wrong palette index. For example the player color is at index 8 or something in the starcraft palette, but if you have the wrong palette the index could be 20 or something. In game it draws color 20, which in the starcraft palette is not what you thought.
