The sword and the faith

It does SCX files.
SCX is Starcraft: Broodwar, the expansion.
If you dont have broodwar it wont open SCX files.

As the lads above have already said. SCX files are for the EXP pack, Starcraft: Broodwar.

So if you would like to make/open scx map files you must buy starcraft broodwar.

Just some advice: Any questions or answers you find here will usually be based upon things only ScmDraft 2 or Starforge can do. Staredit is a good place to start, though.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Id it a white box with a red X?

Listion carefully, if you WOULD like to open SCX files (Starcraft Broodwar map files) You must BUy and Install Starcraft Broodwar.

Have you tried to open the map using the editor? It could be its a corrupt map file, or that your computer has not regconized the SCX file to give you the SCX file icon maybe.
or to help members help you take a screen shot of it.

Maybe the map is protected?

When you open it does it seem like it's corrupted?

I dont think a protected map cause the file picture to have a red x.

I'm pretty sure the SCX icon was a normal map picture with a large red X on the corner.

Try this:
Right click on the icon. Go to "Open With" and select "Choose Program..." You should then be able to select the editor from the list.

Also, tell us what happens when you just double click on the icon.

SCX does have a small red x in the top-left corner. :omfg:
so the icon is normal, just choose "open with" and find starcraft campaign editor. if it's not in the list, click browse, then find it in your starcraft folder.
