TERRAIN BLENDING CHALLENGE: Deadline April 1

Since these things evidently do not exist as of yet, I'm challenging SEN's terrain gurus to attempt to create the following terrain blends. Each task is worth 1 point regardless of difficulty. The first person to post a solution to a particular challenge gains that point.

Some of these may be intrinsically impossible, however. Do not let that discourage you from trying others.

You have until April 1 to submit your solutions. Peace;

JUNGLE:
-Well-blended (no blocking) raised jungle ramps of all four orientations with correct vision/hit%.
-Well-blended inverted temple ramps with correct vision/hit%. 1 extra point for making it extensible (e.g. can be widened).
-High temples (temples that appear to be more than 2 matrices tall)
-Elongated temple ramps to go with the higher temples
-Stacked temples without blocking
-Temple "bridge" connecting high jungle and low jungle through a cliff
-"Ruins" ramps connecting dirt with high ruins to create a pseudo high-ground patch. Note that you must actually make it visually appear as high ground, not just replace the center of a ruins blotch with "high ruins".
-Create a set of walkable (completely walkable, meaning ultralisks may pass through) but unbuildable tiles for at least 2 of the 6 typically buildable terrain types (high/low jungle, high/low raised jungle, high/low dirt). 1 extra point for 4, and another extra point for all 6. (DavidJCobb x3)
-Backwards temple ramps that don't suck
-Ruin-clff-high ruins
-Jungle-cliff-high jungle with no dirt
-Beach

BADLANDS:
-Elongated/backwards "structure" ramps
-Stacked structures (Gigins)
-Water-asphalt blend (Gigins)
-Stacked asphalt (Gigins)
-Using aesthetically pleasing "structure" bridges connecting two bodies of cliff.
-"High" structure on top of high ground with corresponding hit%. (Gigins)
-Structure-water blend (Gigins)
-Well-blended ramps not involving grass
-Buildable structure?
-Create a set of walkable (completely walkable, meaning ultralisks may pass through) but unbuildable tiles for at least 2 of the 5 typically buildable terrain types (high/low dirt, high/low grass, asphalt). 1 extra point for 4, and another extra point for all 5.
-An extremely high cliff with an extremely long ramp

SPACE PLATFORM:
-Low Platform/Rusty Pit ramps.
-Elevated catwalk on top of high platform without blocking.
-Inverted/widened catwalk ramps. (Heidi Klum)
-Catwalk to Rusty Pit (KrayZee)
-"Double ramp" connecting any "high" terrain to "low terrain" without an intermediate transition
-Buildable elevated catwalk (It's already buildable, LOL. Sorry.)

ASH WORLD:
-Extended/backwards high dirt ramps (DavidJCobb)
-Bridges across magma (KrayZee)
-Ramps into walkable lava blended with magma, but distinguishable (DavidJCobb)
-Create

DESERT: (Some of these have probably been done before, tell me if that is the case)
-Extended/backwards Sandy Sunken Pit ramps
-Extended/backwards high dirt ramps
-Extended/backwards compound ramps
-Extended bridges
-Bridges through something other than tar (Gigins)
-Creatively using Bridge as another terrain type (Gigins)
-Stacked compounds with correct vison/hit% (2 levels is good) (Gigins)
-Ramp from low sandy sunken pit to high sandy sunken pit
-Railroad eye candy (Gigins)

ICE WORLD:
-High Ice (KrayZee)
-Extended/backwards Ice ramps
-Extended/backwards high snow ramps
-Extended/backwards outpost ramps
-High snow to water (KrayZee)
-Extended bridges (DavidJCobb)
-Bridges through something other than water (KrayZee)
-Outpost to water (KrayZee)
-Outpost to ice (KrayZee)
-Snow cliff to ice (KrayZee)
-Stacked outposts with correct vison/hit% (2 levels is good)


TWILIGHT WORLD:
-Horizontal/vertical ramps
-Extended/backwards Sunken Ground
-Extended/backwards high dirt ramps
-Backwards basilica ramps
-Extended bridges
-Bridges through something other than water
-Stacked basilica with correct vison/hit% (2 levels is good) (Heidi Klum)
-Ramp from low sunken ground to high sunken ground

I'll post more challenges as I think of them, and on other tilesets.

Backwards ramps, and a template/method for widening normal and backwards ramps.

There are only 2 high terrain types on badlands, high dirt and high grass. Can't make the asphalt to be high or the structure to be super high. So you just make a transition from high dirt to low dirt through grass and voila. That is a 1 minute work man. I'll try to do something rather harder on this one.

I ran out of ideas, LOL. Should I make this a freebie point anyways?

These ramps are in the doodad palette. If you want something else, please explain. They can be extended as any other ramp in the game, doesn't look to good though.

I believe the doodads palette only includes the forwards ones, and when I mention "ramps" I always mean that blended backwards ones are included as well. Also, Rusty Pit doodad ramps cannot be placed on a straight edge and must be in an alcove, so fixing that might be good.

I'm working on the bridge.. i got the sides finished, just having trouble going from structure to high dirt.

Interesting, though still a little bit blocky (unavoidable unfortunately).

I am also quite interested in how you got the structure-water transition to work; we could potentially have skyscrapers in maps the way it looks :D.

We can already have skyscrapers in maps, and the blend is easy as pie. Bridge tiles + Roof edge tiles...

Wait, so how does the scoring work? Did I miss that part? I noticed that DEAD, the freedom fighter, has a score of 4, is it the one that has the most screenshots or it's just there for the sake of it? Cause, really, if everyone does every single one of them (Obviously will not happen) but does that mean this will end up on a big lulzy tie?

I'm asking cause I might be participating too :hurr:
