Starcraft and Windows 7?

Updated to windows 7 from vista and now my SC freezes randomly in a game. Anyone else get this?
Doesn't freeze if i'm playing in windowed mode. Apparently it's due to a dual core processor and if i disable it in the bios then the problem should go away.
But if i set the affinity for starcrat.exe to one core, and enable cpu throttling it still freezes.
I've played with the compatibility settings to death, anyone have a solution?

Oh and i'm on 64-bit

Have you tried running it with the XP virtual machine?

Red classic.

apparently my processor doesn't support virtualization, which is weird because my roommate has the exact same laptop (albeit a few differences) and his does.

but i dont want to run it in a virtual machine, and also other people who have tried it still claim that it crashes

I have the same problem here, I haven't found a fix yet but it seems reinstalling the game may have fixed it.

Vrael -- It is, and I could definitely use a company with a commitment to flexibility, quality, and customer satisfaction to provide effective solutions to dampness and humidity in my urban environment.

Vrael shouted: Idk, I was looking more for a dehumidifer company which maybe stands out as a beacon of relief amidst damp and unpredictable climates of bustling metropolises. Not sure Amazon qualifies
sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city

Vrael -- Maybe here on the StarEdit Network I could look through the Forums for some Introductions to people who care about the Topics of Dehumidifiers and Carpet Cleaning?
