I have an old guitar of mine, an electric, shaped like a strat somewhat, it's a hurricane equinox-1 by Morris.
Some of the frets are worn out, when you play on them it doesn't make any sound, or it's muted.
The pickups don't work either but i figure buying pickups and getting them put in is easier than my next question, since the frets are worn, i want a new neck (unless fixing frets is possible).
Has anyone here ever built a guitar or has any knowledge on how i would go about this? I know a site (warmoth) where i could possibly buy necks but I'm lost from there. Help?
It's possible to refret a neck but I wouldn't know if it was possible on your guitar. Best idea is to post this question on a guitar building forum.

You can fix the frets assuming the it's a fret problem and not a neck.
The thing is that if you leave your guitar with strings on storage for too much time the neck curves itself, which is why, it's a good practice if you're going to leave your guitar for a long time stored without playing on it you detune it.
If the neck isn't curved, or at least not enough to prevent strings from playing then you can proceed to file them (the metallic 'lines') with one of those
soft filers they sell and you can also hit them softly with a hammer to embed the frets more cause they could be losen. Careful with the hammer not too hit too hard to break or further damage the neck. Yeah, this sounds a little mid-evo but, hey, it sure fixed me a few acoustic guitars
If you want a new neck, then I wouldn't know, I've never bought a neck to put on another guitar. But if you CAN change the neck the guitar will probably have a mtel part where the neck joins the body with 4 screws. If it does have them, that means you can unscrew the neck and change it for something new.
If you unscrew the neck you'll find that your guitar most likely has, the wooden piece that you call neck and a metal bar.
If the neck is curved, the metal bar will be curved, so to fix the curvature of the neck you have to fix the metal bar, straighten it and then put everything back together. Chances are that you can also pull out this metal bar with some sort of "hole" (dunno what to call it in english) that's found usually on the head of the guitar (a black/dark piece) with an hexagonal screw. Though, seeing that this is your first time, I do not recommend trying this unless you REALLY do not care about the neck as you can permanently damage the bar while trying to straighten it and bye bye neck.

@ Corbo: The metal bar = truss rod. I can personally say that I've broken one (of course I made sure to play on a shitty guitar that I didn't care about
) and ever since I will avoid fucking with those as much as possible. Most electrics I've seen can have it adjusted from the top of the neck instead of where it meets the body... which means no need to take things apart.
