Terrain Help

I'm new here and the way you guys do Terrain is seriously amazing, I was looking at Rory's site, that is truly some amazing stuff, how do you guys edit terrain like that?

Get a mapping program, namely SCMDraft 2, and then go in to terrain and hit tileset indexed. Other than taht we copy paste parts of natural isom and edit them, it's quite the skill, but if you start small it aint hard to get the hang of it.

Aslo try to find Falknors site, he is an amazing guy at this. But yea its also a feel of how things work... idk hard to explain and i sorta stink at terraining but eh i try lol
