Through a potentially intercepted mission briefing it is discovered that some inhuman creature has been unearthed. Soldiers posted nearby have begun calling it a "demon," and morale is dropping as they wait longer and longer for transports. Unfortunately these transports never make it as some supernatural force frees the creature and decimates the encampment.

You are that demon.

In what should only last 20 to 30 minutes, you gradually learn spells to help conquer the mortals that set out to capture you. Driven by some mysterious force, you end up facing 3 bosses in simple yet interesting boss battles, and an onslaught of marines.

nice map, i enjoyed playing it. some thoughts, i liked the observer/stack on water effect, allied troops acted pretty well following me around, apart from the bunker on the ramp, no zealots of lings would go past this bunker into the last boss. i think the farms/barracks n things had few to many hps, i dont want to spend to much time waiting for buildings to die. spells all worked nicely, heal, infect and lurker, i didnt have chance to try mine as was saving every spell for heal by that point.

1st boss was nice touch with his special ability. 2nd boss i felt should have had some sort of puzzle way of killing him, i felt he was fought too straight forward, maybe try to incoroperate some sort of puzzle behind defeating the 2nd boss (firebat). last boss was real nice touch with special ability and also the suprise unit after made me laugh (spoiler:"but i know your weakness") ^^ haha.

Thank you for the input. The units were supposed to stop before that bridge. I basically had it set so that you'd have to face that last challenge alone.

The second boss was supposed to have a second mechanic involving scarabs, but I didn't get it working properly before the contest's deadline. That's definitely something I'll look into for a future release.

Hey, I also enjoyed this map. However, I was at the first boss and managed to kill him. However, after doing so, 4 invincible archons appeared and killed me. I have a picture for proof :D However everything else from what I saw worked flawlessly and I loved the concept, great job.

Thanks. I'll look into that, they should be removed after a death timer resets, but I'll add a fail-safe. :)

Looks like good work from what I played. The intro and up to the first boss was nice, I liked the simplicity and clear explanations. However I never got to fight the first boss since I accidentally ordered the kerrigan to move far away backwards right before it was given to a computer and I never got control of it again. The boss kept saying "Run, demon". :P

Great map. I'll definitely look forward to future releases!

Couple of bugs though: 1.) The archons after the first boss hurt me a lot. I got away but they pushed me ahead where I had 20 marines on top of me and I had very low health so it took a while to heal. 2.) Before the 1st boss a glitch occurred where the Demon would run back and it kept saying "Run away, Demon." and the Demon would never go up to the boss. This occurred because of some of the marines I had left alive. I ended up dieing but luckily I just saved a bit before that part. :)

Overall, this map was great :D

Yoonkwun i got the same glitch...
This is how it went, when the scout runs away and you still at entrance a switch then is set.
That run demon is only activated after you've gotten there and killed the boss canceling out the switch.
I'll check the map see what you did devlin.

It's not so much a glitch as is it just my laziness. I did about 50% of this map two days before the contest was over. :P

These are more issues I can take care of when I have time to work on this map.

Ideally, after all the buildings in in that asphalt area are destroyed (by all, I mean the Barracks and Bunkers), the demon is given to P2 and ordered to move to the boss. After a few lines of dialog, the demon is given to P1. If the bunkers die and the demon isn't in that area, I can see it never being given to P2, but giving it to P2 and not giving it back is something I should look into. It's late and haven't given much thought to it, but I'm sure it's an easy fix.

Nice. Reminds me a bit of the Warcraft 3 undead campaign.

Managed to kill that final boss wraith by the skin of my teeth by cloaking and moving out of its attack range long enough to charge up one last psi storm. I think I squandered my first goliath by trying to move it with me, so supposedly it had more HP than it was supposed to by the time all 4 gols were dead.
