I was considering making an rpg, where each player chooses a weaker hero to accompany a stronger computer controlled hero on quests and such. I also considered using the inverse of this, by having the players choose a hero and having a computer-controlled sidekick follow them around.
Of course, this is just a basic idea for a rpg. Does this seem like an interesting idea?
None.
It's innovative (the first idea), but I'm not sure people would appreciate to be forced to follow a CPU during all the quests...
None.
Well, I had thought about having the sidekick and hero split up during different times to accomplish their goals (like a puzzle that can only be solved by the hero and sidekick stepping onto two different beacons at different locations at the same time). I also thought about having the sidekick lead the hero (like a navigator) for some quests.
EDIT: I also thought about removing the whole computer hero aspect and making the hero a human player who is accompanied by a human player with a weaker hero (sidekick; harder to use, so could be challenge for pros)

I've decided to try making a map around this concept as soon as I finish a few of my other maps.
