So yeah, many of you may have not heard of this amazing thing titled The Orange Box, and many of you are going crazy craze over it. For all you newbies, The Orange Box is a newly released addition to Valve's many great games. Valve is probably best know for its game Half-Life and Half-Life 2. Well as it happens, Half-Life 2 is featured on The Orange Box. As a whole, The Orange Box features five games. Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Episode 1, Half-Life 2 Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. Portal is has got to be one of greatest games I've played ever. Don't get me wrong, Half-Life 2 is still one of my favorites, as well as Episode 1, but the physics in Portal are just amazing. [Imagine jumping into a hole and falling out a second hole on a wall next to it. You fall back into the hole you jumped into. With that gravity brings a greater force apon you as you fell. Now when come out of the second hole, again, you come flying out of it. PHYSICS!] Since The Orange Box is on a console the load times are much faster apposed to my slow arse computer drive. So, that's a benefit to many of you. I still have yet to play the first Team Fortress so I know nothing of it or its sequel. For more discussion of Team Fortress 2, check the already posted topic in the forums,
http://www.staredit.net/?topic=526. For more on The Orange Box, check the main site of The Orange Box at
http://orange.half-life2.com/ and the wikipedia entry at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Orange_Box. I'm going to continue the story of Half-Life now by playing Half-Life 2 Episode 2.

...the physics in Portal are just amazing.
If you'd played the commentary mode you'd know that the area around the portals is actually a "hybrid physics bubble" in which the physics engine is extremely simplified
Apparently it lagged too much and resulted in crazy glitches when they used the real physics.

I saw the orange box for pc at wall mart, the fact that it was actually orange made that moment orgasmic.
I'm gonna go to Wal-Mart sometime and get it. I would have never of thought to get it if it wasn't for Portal.

You know Portal is two hours long? Don't pay fifty dollars if that is the only thing in it you want.

Really? I thought I beat it in 30 minutes... I do like to speed run games.
