Oh no no, you need to use walls, not simply raised terrain.
use the terrain index and find a square that is regularly part of a cliff face and use that. And if you want to check if you can walk on it, simply open the units layer and select a unit to place, and it will "grey-out" the parts that are unwalkable. Or if you build creep on it, or if you move a unit onto the walkable null, among others...
And when you use square tiles as walls, remember where the wall tile your using would originally be placed. Many wall tiles from cliffs facing -> this way do not block view from units standing on <- this side, and visa versa. Also for things like stairs, you can get strange effects like blocking view from the bottom up but not the top down, and blocking from the top down but not the bottom up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It's not possible to just walk onto null terrain. And you can't build on null. It says green and all that but you can't build, you can only place in the editor.
