Does anyone have a backwards sunken ground ramp? I need this for a map I'm making.

1) Tell me how you got so many fetchin' minerals!( )
2) Be more specific cause I'm not sure I understand... But if I can get what the concept is I'll try :)

I can't imagine how to do anything better than just square tiles between sunken ground and crushed rock, considering the lack of doodads for either terrain type.
It doesn't look too bad. Actually, it looks a lot like the normal edge. That's not really a good thing though.

Yeah the sunken will be tricky cause it doesn't have any doodads to work with, but I suggest using part of the ramp if your going to do it... That's all I have for you. sorry. :(

Well, can I have the other backwards ramps then? I need all the possible backwards ramps you have for twilight plz.

How's this backwards sunken ramp?

http://img227.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshotsi0.jpg

EDIT: It's hard to tell what the backwards ramp is... for all of them but they are fully non-buildable...mostly, and they work. and aren't very blocky. The ramp is the part with the mud going into the sunken ground.

EDIT2+3: OMG I GOT 2 MINERALS!

:payne:

Nice backward! Seriously.. it's... soft :D

Oct 12 2007, 4:05 am Jello-Jigglers Post #9

I wouldn't say soft, but it will have to do wont it? Or, you could try using sprites/units to cover it. Just a thought :)

Oct 12 2007, 4:07 am blacklight28 Post #10

Nah, it's for a melee map. I'm not gonna use sprites for that.

so units like floor traps or beacons? idk maybe you'll find something. :)

It's not THAT blocky... Just the unbuildable terrain cause we all know it would be cheap if you could build on a ramp and the other side couldn't.

EDIT: Don't forget that I need the other backwards ramps. Like bascila to ground.

As of now i haven't tried many back ramps except high to low dirt... i'll try to explore some more when I'm out of school. :)

Any yes in game that will be hecka blocky. You need to realize that in game is played at 150-200% magnification on scmd2's standards. Take a look at that mag and you'll see lots you didn't notice before like those huge lines between the cracked dirt and the sunken ground. :|

---EDIT---
k heres something, not much but something:

Basilica Back-Ramp:

Notice it almost looks like it is actually declining to the next level. Anyways it's the best I've got. :)

Lol, nty. I need something less blocky, no offense Jello.

EDIT: And yes it is pretty blocky but people probably don't examine the ramps when they're playing melee. On the other hand, even if you don't examine your backwards bascila ramp, you'll still notice how blocky it is.

Ok, step right up. :) You give it a try.

K here's the primitive ramp that isn't really a ramp it is just less blocky... Better?
