The sword and the faith

Two of our members seem to have been hit by an MSN virus that sends innocent looking messages (Cough yeah right) to their contacts which gives them a link which will prompt them for their MSN info.

Either its a virus, or Falkoner is being punished by god for being such a hard nosed twit.

Maybe this will teach you people in the tech section not to listen to a man who can't look beyond someone's sexual preference, much less fend off an obvious virus.

Deathman got hit too.
\

Also Mods: This is a legit topic as it may stop others from contracting said virus. :P

What the heck? I downloaded a torrent for something recently that installed some executable on my computer, but I thought I had gotten it. I'll check my process list today for anything new, sorry about that.

I hate torrenting keygens..

Edit: Wait a minute, my computer was off at 9:04 AM, for the past week or so, they must've gotten my password or something..

I have yet to receive or send any. I have no firewall or anti-virus, just common sense.

I was actually going to make a news post about this after getting my second message (falkoner).
I thought it actually spreads by the first message (omg, look at this!!! just type your password in) and spams the shit out the contact list if you actually do it.

Almost looks harmless.

I'm always getting dating spam on msn.

Ya, I know a few people who've had these kinds of things for a long time now.
I come home from school with some random spam message about "party pics" or some similar crap and a link to a phishing site pretty much everyday from one of 'em. I think the "coolstufff.com"'s among the things I've seen.

I use to get one that said "OMG! I just saw a picture of you on facebook! :P"

And that's it. No link or anything. It would send to all his contacts.

Are you sure about that?

This provides me with lulz as well. But this is... Pretty old? I have seen many accounts that send those links for me for quite a while. I guess it has reached a boom in its population.

Hell, one of these days this was the conversation topic of the whole high school.

I think a recent torrent that was very tempting(Driver Updater, anyone?) Had it as the keygen, when I downloaded it, AVG said it was bad, but AVG says Cain and Able is bad, so I figured might as well run it(bad idea), it installed a trojan on my computer, although I found and deleted it almost immediately, I forgot to empty the recycling bin :P So it was still running from there, Malwarebytes found it in there and finished the job :)

Please tell me if any of you continue to get messages from me.

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO

Phobos, It's older in spanish speaking countries since we don't know many other IMs, people on the US most likely use AIM or a another third party to connect to MSN. And people are just dumber and click everything you put in their faces.

Either way it doesn't provide me lulz. A lot of my high school friends have this and a couple of other virus this same way. It seems that it triggers itself at an exact time based on a server or something and then it spams. There were times that I got 5-6 messages like this AT THE SAME FUCKING TIME AND IT WAS JUST PLAIN ANNOYING. So I just either block or delete the persons that have this virus now.

I noticed falko and deathman have it too. It was weird since I thought I had already deleted deathman from my msn list lololol. This new virus seems to not need the person to be online to send it. It's actually pretty cool, I wonder how they do it :P

fuck you all
