The vadican does it, the majority of the anti-abortionists, conservative think tanks do it.... they all propose a universal set of rules that we all must attend to when genetically engineering some sort of species, most of the debate is over our own. These sciences are not in practice so that we can assemble some sort of frankenstein monster, but rather, so that we may find cures to terrbile diseases. These medical advences are being halted by the ethical dispute of paying women for eggs. Why not clone organs? Why not clone whole human beings? its a silly rock sitting in the road isn't it?
Some oppositions to cloning human beings are the same risks that we take using other methods of reproduction. There should be no Ethical block in the road when it comes to science. I am glad adam picked from the tree of knowledge, i would rather be a well educated man... clothed and well mannered, than an ignorant yahoo running around in the garden of eden in my birthday suit.

You are probably going to want this moved or redo your first post. Else it may get locked. Atleast I'm pretty sure it doesn't qualify.
My opinion on stem cell research is that research shouldn't be halted, however reproduction/cloning should be. I say this because once the ethical dillemna has been bridged and we're given the okay to clone, we'll be able to dive right in. However if we halt research, it could be years afterwards, that it's efficient and worth while/ risk free.

Why not clone whole human beings?
Because 6-7 billion is enough.
I'd be down for human research, but we are still progressing with animal research.
Why not continue studying animals?
