Controversial controversies

Sometimes some of us just wish to feel badass, and some of us just want to cause a controversy for the hell of it. A few examples is Nazi Uniforms, wearing one of those is illegal. Another example is is the SAW Five movie cover, I'm quite surprised they got away with being able to show a guy wearing Saw's face. And then of course, if we to speak of more recent ones there is the ones we find in games like Mass Effect, apparently people are foolish enough to be offended by pixilized pussy, even though their child probably is getting banged, banging someone or looking at porn already. and there is even controversies over things that in this time and day shouldn't really matter.

A few in my opinion is on how every Harry Potter book almost got banned due to witchcraft *honestly, is the censorship this idiotic?* How some Bands were banned from countries just because they were thought to be satanic. *Rolling Stones were almost banned from a few countries, Alice Cooper on the other hand had actually achieved such.)
and at last their is homosexuality, obviously who people want to fuck should not make them be judged on who they are.

but aside from these, I'm just curious if any of you take an intrigue in anything that's considered controversial to another. I my self take interest in numerous other things, but for the sake of not making this topic its self be controversial I will not name some of them. (The ones I will not tell aren't at all a secret, I just don't want any arguments popping up over stupid reasons.) and instead I share you the most controversial thing I take an intrigue in.

My own controversial intrigue is probably the Swastika, I find it looks cool and that's all. Nothing more. However, Not only the Nazi's used them. The Egyptians did, and I also assume that the Buddhist do as well. And I guess another reason I find it's cool is probably on how cool it would look with my name. If it were to replace the X, then holy crap! My name would be awesome.

And I just wish to note I don't want this topic turning into anything relevant to ww2, I'm fully aware a lot of people died underneath the horrid symbol, at the same time however a lot of people died under a cross, and I don't think Jesus would be happy to see that everyone carries the thing in their hand that he died excruciatingly painfully on. *and sometimes he's naked on it too...*

So, does anyone wish to share some controversies you heard of? Some controversial things you take intrigue in?

None.

aka idmontie

Don't Buddhists use a variation of the swastika? I can't recall what it is called, but its more wavy.

Swear words.
They are more or less just words.
And most aren't as bad as some other ones.

I can agree about the swearwords, I don't necessarily swear too much (My father would say people who swear a lot only do so because they don't know a lot of words.) But I will swear occasionally *Notice how I said ''It shouldn't on who people fuck, instead it should on who they are.''

When probably most people would've simply said. ''It doesn't matter who people love.'' I suppose I prefer swearwords because in a lot of cases they are very useful adjectives, and also because I find it they sound more honest! Besides, I don't think I could live without my special words. Fuck, Bastard, Damn (Even though that isn't really much of a swear word...) and sometimes I'll use bitch.

I prefer conspiracies to controversies.

Well, conspiracies can be controversial. And the reason behind this is because people always argue on if they are real or not. Here is a real conspiracy. I remember back at a time when my history teacher would said quote. ''All the allied countries never knew what the Germans were doing to the Jewish.''

Which is a bunch of bull shit, I read on a time magazine dated before WW2 of Hitler being person of the year, and how he was actually doing what he was. *Hitler was person of the year because Time magazine picks them based on how they change the world, not on how they benefit it.*

Aaaaaaand I assume this is why I can be conceited at times, it's arguable that I'm smarter then some of my school staff...

Aside from Buddhist, the swastika can be found in Jainist, Hindu, Japanese, and likely other Asian traditions. 'Course, Wiki can probably say a lot more than I. And it is a rather generic symbol that's likely to pop up independantly in a lot of places.
If I recall correctly, Mini Moose made a sizable post pointing out a few facts regarding it when someone recieved a bunch of flak for using a vaguely-swastika-like terrain layout in a defense map.
