uflunstable 0x12 - <flingy# - creates an flingy with restrictions; supposedly crashes in most cases.
Does anyone know exactly what this action does? What happens if you create a flingy, anyway?
None.
The name stands for
Unique
FLingy
UNSTABLE. It crashes a lot. I wouldn't advise toying around with it. I figured it out a while ago and I couldn't find any use for it at all.

Okay, thanks DoA.

It probably crashes because it isn't used properly.
Has it ever worked? For which cases?

Are there any scripts in the entire iscript.bin file that use it?

It's never used. Does it have anything to do with those unused flingy.grps?
It will work if you spawn a queen or the unused white lockdown flingy, I think. Other than those 2 i've always had it crash. There's only 1 slot in memory, so it's not really useful. I think it was left over from something they originally planned to do.
Also, it starts the flingy moving off in some random direction, if i remember right. Totally weird...

What exactly does creating a flingy do? I've never completely understood what "a flingy" is... (I know what flingy.dat is, I just don't understand what "a flingy" is.)
None.
It's just the in game entity associated with the .dat info. Creating one doesn't do anything useful. My guess is that it could've been used for like, special effects from doodads and such where they actually did movement with the physics system.
