This is SEN! Btw I've never finished a map either, I have about ten maps in production right now, because I always come up with what I think is a fantastic idea and I'll label all the names and place half the units only to discover that it'll probably just blow over completely. Gears of War, Flight From Tarsonis, Two Adversaries, etc. etc.

I can't tell you how many Halo maps I've tried to make!

The main reason I've never completed a map is because they are never done.

A mapper's work is never done.

There's always an improvement to be made, or a bug to fix.

People who state that a map is in it's final version, are not saying it's done. They're saying it's at a point where they can't stand working on it anymore.
I got my sig finally.

That's why Maplantis has a rule that you need proof to show that the map is actually "In Progress".

Yeah, I should steal the screenshot rule. That was a good idea they had.

I never make map production threads just to show it off. Imo if you do, that shows you're already slowing down motivation-wise and need some push (attention).

The only reason I've ever made one is to ask for ideas.

Are... Are you sure? Could you check again? I mean, no insult to your intelligence, but that's a pretty big assumption you're making there...

it's for hosting mainly.

Last time I checked, no one really made any maps even on the OLD SEN. Ok, maybe a few, but there were a ton of topics in the forum that were like from 2 years ago still floating around, with the OP saying "Oh yeah, I'm still working on it." Garbage.

I almost never finish a map I begin to make, due to my extremely serious condition of laziness.

Ideas are hard to come up with, even harder to perfect, and hardest to stick with. Something easy? Why, making new ideas.

For me, it's the opposite. I come up with mounds of ideas, but executing them (especially terrain-wise) is my hard part.

You would hate me. I never finished one map, though I came close to finishing one and then I got to the point where there was so many glitches that I was too lazy to find.

Terrain is what turns me off completely a lot of the time... I don't mind triggers and what not... It is that damn terrain that I can never get right.

I'm usually pretty good with the terrain, triggers I'm fine with too. I'm just lazy.

I used to have other people do the Terrain for me, just the basics of it, and then I would finish the rest for them... I don't know why it is sooo hard to grasp the concept of

Terrain has always been the easy part for me, I have whole collections of 256x256 maps that have terrain basically completed, preplaced units placed, locations placed, everything named, but only basic triggers for entering buildings and introductions.

The problem is that I would always make some new part on the map which would require a trigger system of its own, but simply move on after I got the structure layed out for it. Than at the end, when I had allotted all the triggering, I had massive amounts of systems to complete. I probably should have simply done each system as I came across it.
