Say I want the nexus to have blue fire when its damaged but i want stargate to have orange fire when its damaged...

The most basic way to change this is to change which .lof file is referenced for the image in the images section of DatEdit. It is possible to further customize it by making a custom .lof file to set exactly which flames you want it to use and at what positions.

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
