That would just detract from the emphasis on incest in the map. Unless Kow likes reindeer necrophiliacs.

We live in a society.

The map is at least based on an original concept. However, after three minutes of "lol incest" I expect more from the map. It doesn't deliver.

From a mapper's standpoint, the map is not overly impressive. To its credit, everything works flawlessly and is bug-free. Unfortunately, that doesn't really say much at all because nothing in the map is complex enough that I could consider it remotely easy to screw up.

I didn't see any particular reason why the map doesn't support more then two players.

The strategical considerations involved in this map consist of breed or grow. This will be influenced by the amount of cash you have. Optimistically speaking, the map is balanced because of this. Unfortunately, that balance is rooted in a lack of variation and options.

All you command will be various melee ground units. Not much tactics and limited potential for micro. If you spread out your units and try to farm from multiple areas, you'll actually end up punished because Zealots rape everything before you have any chance to save yourself. This is why I had one unit early on. Which meant all of my cash was absolutely useless because I couldn't ever breed again.

That being said, I have no desire to replay this map.

In my defense, I'm not a good mapper. Nor do I have the patience to make anything complicated :P

There is none. I intended to release a version with 4 or 6 players, but never got around to making it. :(

Fair enough. If I ever get around to making a new version (mentioned above) I'll take this into consideration.

Haha, yeah. Again, if I get around to a new version, I'll make a way to dig yourself out of that hole (prostitutes?).

There is still time to polish up the map and overcome some shortcomings before January 1st.

My review on this map:
Prior to playing the map the concept really caught my attention, and i looked forward to playing this winter themed project of incest-joy. However, upon playing it with pigy i found the map repulsively half-assed. The first thing i found wrong with this map was the fact that it was only two player.
I could understand if there was some real complexity to the map; however, the map was made two player out of a. lazyness or b. ignorance. If you're going to make a map like this, atleast put forth the effort to make it to where theres more then two of us mindlessly mating the same animals over and over again.

The second quality i found terrible about this map was the lack of some organization. You could have put some more effort into the hunt factor of the map. & may i ask, why are my reindeer eating other living animals? I guess you were going for humor on this one, but as an entry for a contest i was very unimpressed. I think with a little effort this could have been a really fun 4-6 player map that would prob get pretty popular.

In a nutshell all you needed to do was spend a few days really trying to improve the game play and make some sense of this project. I do not fill it was taken in any way seriously from the start lol.

...Why not post the review in the DLDB also instead of just posting it here and in some other topics on games you have reviewed? Not that this needs any more bashing.

I don't get this paragraph. You begin talking about lack of organization, and elaborate on different points. What wasn't organized about it? O.o

EDIT: Oh, and if you had read any of the topic, you'd know that it was laziness.

Ultraviolet -- Yeah, I suppose there's something to that

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless
[2024-5-06. : 5:02 am]
Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value
[2024-5-06. : 5:01 am]
Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Ultraviolet -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
[2024-5-06. : 12:51 am]
Oh_Man -- definitely EUD

Vrael -- damn is that all EUD effects?
