Disruption Web Selection System?

I'm trying to make it so when someone webs a place it automatically removes the web and sets off the trigger. How exactly do I do this?

Condition: Neutral brings at least 1 Disruption Field to location X.
Action: Remove all Disruption Field for Neutral at location X.

This is what it is for SCM Draft 2.

Ah, ok. So it didn't work because I put the player's web and not the neutral's web?

Yes.

Wait. But then if the web is neutral how are you supposed to know who casted the web?

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure. :P I just made a quick concept map as soon as I saw the thread and did what I thought of. Maybe if the corsairs for each player are out of each other's vision range, and will stay out of each other's vision range, you can just detect the webs in a location the size of their vision?

I think that's a question for someone else.

Who can answer this? They all have corsairs in the same place to choose/web a starting location.

There is no way, other than checking for which players it's close to, in your case I would recommend a Mind Control system instead.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

You can't detect who cast the web.

If proximity to the casting cors is no option because the players are not seperated you have to use EUDs.
They can detect energy of units you preplaced (==> You must make sure none of those corsairs dies). The player whose cors has less energy, was obviously the caster.
This messes up if 2 players cast exactly the same time.
Also EUDs are not very easy to handle. You have to learn quite a bit about them. Use the search function to find topics regarding EUDs. Also your map would be incompatible to Mac users.

What you can do if you really must use the corsairs is constantly cycle through them with triggers that set their energy such that only one player has energy to web at a given time, and then you'll know who cast the web on the grounds that only one player could have done so at the time in question. EUDs are also an option, but there are two major disadvantages: your map will drop Mac users, and it will be disabled at the next patch (if there is one). All in all, since these are both suboptimal fixes, I'd suggest that you look for alternative systems.

and it will be disabled at the next patch (if there is one).

Not necessarily, actually, in most cases it won't.

However, I do agree that EUDs are not a good choice, I'd choose a different system altogether.

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
