Hey
I'm new to overclocking, but i would really like help on overclocking my laptop. Yes, I know that laptops are usually out of the question but I know that its possible. The reason being is that I want to run PCSX2 (PS2 emulator) at a faster speed on my laptop.
Here are my specs:
Name: IBM Thinkpad model R52
CPU: Intel Pentium M 740 1.73 GHz
RAM: 504 MB
Motherboard chipset: Intel i915GMS/i910GML
Thanks in advance, and I can provide any more specs needed.

I really dont think you can. Some processors (E21xx) have a lot of OC room. Some dont (The early Pentium Ds.). Also your laptop's BIOS probably arent equipped properly to do it, and OCing programs are a BIG no no unless you like problems and bad results.
From a quick google search, I see that if your RAM has the MHz to do it, you might be able to get around 2.2GHz out of that particular processor, but I doubt your laptop has decent RAM, I'm guessing its stock.
Youd be better off buying a new laptop than OCing this one IMO.
Laptop computers already get hot enough as it is. Just don't do it.
