It's nice and all, but it is a little blocky, fix up the sides and some of the bottom to make it look better

Thanks, I edited it and made the sides blend a bit better.

Oh man, that blend on the bottom is awesome, great job using that doodad, I've never seen that done before.

Also, I think that the ends of it could be fixed just by changing how long both sides are, so they hit eachother at a different tile. It still looks good the way you did it though, nice job.

Does anyone mind uploading this on an image hosted website? I have trouble finding my downloads and getting programs to open the file. I would really like to view this piece of terrain.

I'm afraid I've found a way that works alittle nicer, even if it has very sharp edges on the corners. It's still important to experiment, and I respect your blending attempt, but sometimes I think people are beating a dead horse on here.

Ellis, for the convenience of the people on here, I'd suggest using imageshack.us. After you upload the image, take the URL from the box labeled "direct link to image" and put that inside the img code on SEN. Also, for images these size I would suggest using .gif or .png instead, JPG tends to really smudge things, and at these sizes gif and png aren't huge file-sizes.

Anyways, this is the standard way I construct bridge and high dirt platforms:

I donno, Wilhelm, his almost looks a bit better, and it's cool to see more than one blend used for the same purpose.

His blend looks alittle bit better because he used a very high compression setting on his Jpegs. I'm not saying my blend is flawless, but it looks much nicer in the actual game and in different resolutions.

I'm not knocking him for trying, It's just... How many bridge blends do we need? How many jungle blends do we need? How many people are even using this stuff for anything productive?

I like that OP is experimenting with blends for bridge to w/e.
Wilhelm's blend is less blockier than OP's, but it's not as... interesting? I don't know.

@Yamhelm: People do not bother to experiment with other tilesets. >_>

The great Yam i dont think it matters if they are used for anything productive but it is more on the lines that each blend and builds of terrain gives insight, along with ideas, to other people on how to do things and how they can change thier map up.

Some people use them, they give ideas, and there fun to make. Reason enough?

Well, I can't exactly agree with that there. Perhaps it is fun. But Jungle is basically used up completely. I've seen close to or almost the same blends for the whole time I've been at SEN.
You'll probably disagree with me though :)

Jungle is so easy to blend, and it looks nice. But, seriously, maybe we should just try another tileset. Snow hasn't really been messed with, twilight and desert have been, a little.

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort

Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
