If you're on USEast on GMT +8 time at around 12, you'll notice that your SC keep crashing due to this person hosting a game--whenever you click on his game(not join, host), your SC crashes.
Anyone encounter cases like this?

Hackers disgust me. What's the point of hacking in UMS.

Lol yea I remember falling victim to that guy a few times already. A week or so ago, while browsing the gamelist I would select the very first game on the list and just scrolled through the whole list with my arrow keys and the first couple timesi I crashed without knowing why; I thought my comp messed up or something. Then I realzied that it was this guy's game on the list that kept crashing me. It kinda got annoying

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO
The only thing I remember is that I was one a game one, testing my new map. And this guy said "Hey, Corbo, do you want me to freeze SC?"
And I was like "...what?" and then he did it.
Took me like 10 minutes to recover from that one. That possibly was the longest I've been trying to get out of SC.
I don't remember if it was the same guy but I do know that it was years ago.
Stupidly, I messaged him after to join again and I was like "omg do it again!"
fuck you all
Ive heard about this on a few forums, its a private hack that has bin out for like a week, Lets just hope it doesnt get Leeched/Leaked.

How does those 'freeze hack' work? Most importantly, how should I counter it? It sucks---once I was in a big game and this player froze my SC. Well not really freeze, but a screen pop up showing a player is lagging with a count down timer--the same as when a player disconnects. But when I click 'drop player', nothing happens and I can only Ctrl+Alt+Del to completely shut down starcraft.
And there seems to be a hack that allows you to disconnect another player. It does it instantly--one second I was winning(and it was 1v3!), the next second I was disconnected(it says all other players have been dropped from the game).
Any external programs I can run to stop these hacks? Even if I can't stop it, at least something that allows me to detect it (best in the lobby) so I can quit their game(s).
None.
Why wait for 10 minutes? After about 5 minutes I would either try to turn off my StarCraft.exe manually via alt+ctr+del or I would just restart my computer, the easy way through the start menu or the easier way, by pushing and holding the on button for 5 seconds.

Ugh.. Hacks like that disgust me, map hacks are bad enough.. You know, I bet a good programmer good figure out a way to stop them, make something that checks the other players for hacks, then turns their hacks against them, like if they figured out how to use that drop hack, have a program that auto-drops hackers.

There already is a ingame drop hack and IPbanner hack, Im sure SOMEONE could figure it out
Damn I miss Damnation 666 ;(

I
really hope that for SC2, they actually do something to make hacks GTFO with each patch... Maybe even use detectors and IP-bans.
