That says nothing, It would be more helpful if you describe what doctrine you observe(if any), and your reasons for doing so.
I do not respect your beliefs, and I implore you not to respect mine. To ask respect of beliefs held without evidence, is to burn the books of progress and hope.

It's pretty much Atheist doctrine and Christian doctrine combined. Like for example believing the universe was created by the big bang but the earth was created in 6 days.

Yet the big bang theory completely contradicts the belief the earth was created in 6 days?

Jordan, you're just making stuff up.. you can't "BE" both.

Athiest-Christian.. that's rich. Christian is theist, athiest is not-thiest, and you're both. Really rich.

Also, there's no athiestic doctrine, just a following of science. Mostly.

I don't see how it's possible to be atheist yet theist.

It is possible. It's like choosing between strictly liking pudding and rejecting jell-o and also strictly liking jell-o and rejecting pudding.

But then, wouldn't that still be considered the doctrine since that's apart of their moral code?

So.. do you believe in god? If you don't, you're not christian. If you do, you're not athiest.

It's that simple.

What the fuck is an Atheist-Christian? I've never heard of a bigger nor retarded oxymoron in my life.

Well I dubbed that term for myself as you see I'm not 100% Christian and not 100% Atheist but instead, both. In simplier terms, it's like choosing a religion for the first time while still keeping your Atheist views.

You're a fence sitter. You're probably atheist but you're just afraid that hell exists so you think just to be on the safe side you'll say you believe.

Agnosticism is moar liek believing that there is a good but thinking that he doesn't do much and he isn't what we think he is - much more believable then Christianity.

Yeah, Yoshi's explanation seems much more believable. Christian except when he sins.

... wait, since when do I believe there's a God?
I just believe that there's no reason to believe against one. Investing time in a God's existance or non-existance is, in either way, a waste, as there as yet exist no means to verify the latter, and the former has yet to gain any credit of its own.

It's occurred to me that even if there were creationists around with arguments to make, it stands to reason they're not intent on wanting to present them in "enemy territory", or more accurately, a forum populated almost exclusively with evolutionists, atheists, etc. Presenting their "side" of the story is not something they'd knowingly attempt in such a place, as they're already aware that anything they say is going to be openly attacked and dissected by superior numbers of people with unmistakably diametrically opposed viewpoints.

Therefore, the logical thing to expect is they'll want to keep to where they know to find people they already agree with. Kinda the same thing the atheists, evolutionists, etc. sorta do too, really.

To even begin to have an argument like this (if it's even possible to do meaningfully), the minimum requirement is a fully neutral medium to conduct it. And guess how many of those there are to be found. :P

Jordan, do you see vegetarians running around and eating a steak once in a while? No, because they're fucking vegetarians. The same exact reasoning goes with being a Christian but denying the existence of god once in a while.

But, what if there is a vegetarian that does sneak in (in this case) a steak once in a while?

THEN S/HE ISN'T A VEGETARIAN.

The definition of a vegetarian:
Someone who doesn't eat meat.

AKA, if you eat meat, you aren't a vegetarian.

Jordann, this is what happens when you start getting too much into subjects like this on the internet. First you get into a big mess of things, and more importantly, you start getting yourself confused in your beliefs. It seems to me that you are no longer confident in declaring yourself to be a christian or of any religious affiliation, thus to reduce oppression from the other side, you've decided to call yourself an atheist-christian. If you've truly decided to ditch religion, then just do it. If you haven't, don't go around spouting crap like you're an atheist-christian.
