I think it would be cool if the minigames were more like jobs. While the main player is exploring, one person could be "smithing" to earn extra upgrades for the party members. Another player could "study" to learn new skills. Heck, you could throw in a cooking minigame that involves mixing ingredients to make potions, revives, etc. for the whole party to use.

That was just what I had planned, actually. Stuff that you could do while exploring. One problem is matching the rate of random encounters so that minigames can be played in between. My thoughts was that a new fight could not occur until the party had moved and the minigame had been completed. The minigames would average about 20 seconds to a minute, and would be unavailable in dungeons and cities.

This one has been going on for like 8 months. First I experimented with one where infested terran did damage to buildings and that was the entirety of the battle system. Th eoriginal idea was to create FF6 as a map. I later moved to my own storyline and a death counter based system and the extended terrain nightmare you see here today. I'll be posting a demo of the map soon, so you'll be able to try it out if you plan on staying with SEN for a week at least.

Well, sorry for double posting, but I added another picture to the front page, for convenience, It's HERE:
![]() As well. I will have another such area done soon, and I hope to complete the nation of Tereland by the end of the week, when I hope to release a sort of demo that works up to a point for four players. The dome may last only 10 minutes and show only the sort of badly done city, but the battle system is what it will show. Sorry for such a long time without updates. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Really you don't think people should get credit for what they've done? I think it would at least be courteous to show some acknowledgment because they didn't really think of it themselves... Anyways That is a ton of sweet terrain and I can't really say anything bad about it which is a good thing jabok! Nice work with everything and I love seeing all the new stuff you come out with cause it always seem well thought out and original with each new idea and what not anyways cool stuff man!

Well, I like to give credit to whoever I found stuff from if I can, just for politeness' sake.
EDIT here's another. ![]() Ignore messed up bottom doodad and the top of the temple, I'll fix those later. Getting close to a large zoomed out shot. This post was edited 1 time, last edit by JaBoK: Sep 27 2007, 5:46 am.
