This topic is meant for you to post whatever you have done with your modelling life experience.
You should also post here if you have some questions about how and you might get an answer.
So, have fun and start posting your works!

Here's a list of some 3D modelling tools:
Blender - One tool to make 3D models, I personally have tried it only once and I couldn't really do anything because it's too complex, however good.
Gmax - A really easy to use interface tool, it's a rather powerful tool and I strongly recommend it for you to start with your models here.
3ds Max - In this page you can get a 30 day trial period. It's one of the most popular and powerful tools that you can get. It's basically the same interface of Gmax (Autodesk bought Gmax). It's a really good tool and I recommend you to get this one. If you can, just get Gmax which is free.
Anim8tor - Is another easy to use tool for modelling. Some people have started with this modelling starcraft units. You should try it.
Maya - This is another REALLY powerful tool, again by Autodesk. It's not free but I'm pretty sure there's a 30 day trial period too.
Rhinoceros - This is another great tool for modelling is what IskatuMesk uses for his models (That I know off) If you want to see some of his models look the post below :P

These were all made in maya. My old models, ie from ITAS, are made in Rhino.

These will hopefully make it into Supreme Commander. Failing that, they'll be like the ITAS:US models - never used for anything.

Iskatu, just an FYI...the claws on the Tarantula seem akward and out of place.

What do you mean? The claws are okay the way they are, they just seem a bit stiff because Mesk didn't render the joints on the arms bent.

The arms have two horizontal pivots and a pitch pivot. So yes, they'll be quite animated, and the unit will have two stances for the claws as well.

The second ship of MFT thing looks ideal.
I've always liked how they make those ships with little holes making you feel like a huge city is built on the ship thus, making you feel the ship is of collosal sizes.

Yeah. That never had any place in any of my universes though. These enormous ships were built so large because of their weapon systems, while races like the Undead are unrestricted in size because they don't use metal ect to build their ships. So, things like the Blood Moon are larger than planets but are manned usually by only one or two individuals.

Id really like to see something with a diffrent texture on it =(.

Kinda looks like you used a pic of like... the Death star in a weird shade of blue/purple :D .

I was thinking the same thing. I'm no modder or graphic artist though :P .

Man i sucked when i used 3ds Max, The "coolest" thing i made was a (may i add ,finely) textured plant pot for a freind who needed it for a Resident evil game he was making. i think i have some cement and wood textures if that helps Lawl :D .

Btw why dont u jsut get 3DS Max ? ya know? ;-)

I have 3ds max. That's what I rendered those in. 3ds max is far, far harder to learn than you make it out to be. I've been using it for 7 years and the extent of what I can do is limited to converting formats and rigging models for supreme commander.

Seriously? ur using 3dsmax to render them? idk wtf is up but nothing you have that is circular is 100% circular.i think ya should mess around with the rendering settings or something :O !

w/e keep doing what you doing man :D seems like ur the only big 3d'er here or something D:
