I guess bots are good for 'advertising' but I don't think bot admissions are good. I'll make sure the tournament is good and ready to go once we have 2-3 judges and 2 more players.

It's a good chance to get hands on with Starcraft melee. I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard made SC2 have a very identical feel to its core gameplay controls.

EDIT: Ehhh, actually I change my mind. I got way too much work to do this week, and really no patience for waiting on games.
Sorry if I got anyones hopes up, but I editted this before the OP post was submitted, so I don't think I did. |

are we doing single or double elimination?
i'd rather have double, since it'd take longer for me to die |

If I cant find my SC CD, then I can judge. Send the flie replay file, and I'll examine them.
Remember, thats an IF. |

Double Elimination is a far superior system to single for determining the best, and other places. Otherwise someone good could be screwed by a tough draw on the brackets, especially considering we had no pools for seeding or anything. I think a Double Elimination loser's side bracket (best of one) would be good to add and wouldn't slow things down too much. That and it seems a majority of people who care about the tournament enough to post on this thread like double. If you can't make a double elimination bracket I have plenty of them (templates) as I organize monthly sc-bw tournaments at my church's college group's monthly lan parties.

that's also a reason why I'd prefer double elim
but if we use single elim, then we should make it best out of 3 or 5 games, so you can't just get screwed over by a cheese |

Not to change the subject, but to help promote what I've been trying to work on now for awhile, wouldn't it be much easier if everyone used XFire and joined the Staredit Network XFire Group so that you could easily setup matched with the people you have to fight against? This would allow for discussion both before and after fighting, who does it while fighting:lol:, and would help with other players in this tournament be able to get in on the action as well... If anyone considers, which I hope most or if not all of you do, check out some of the links...
