Hi, I've never worked with players 9-12 before and I'm trying to figure this out. I noticed that players 9-12 can the trigger set as enemy, but also read that players 9-12 won't attack. Is it possible to set players 9-12 as computers that would attack (such as missile turrets attacking any incoming air)?

I'm trying to do this: I have a map with 6 players and 2 computers. I'm seeing if I can push those 2 computers to players 9-12 to make room for 2 more players (as observer slots). It's a 3v3 competitive game.

As for the computers, one computer is neutral, simply attacking anything in range (this computer only has cannons and turrets) except the other computer. The second computer is like the first computer for a bit, doing nothing except attacking any unit with defense structures, but after a certain time passes, it becomes a normal computer (has a few buildings it can build units with, also allies to three players while remaining enemies to the other three players).

With these conditions, is it possible to use players 9-12 as I want? Basically to use to replace players 7 and 8 to make room for human observer slots. I'll also mention that I'm using StarForge, but I can switch to another editor if suggested.

Thanks.

I think players 9-11 can attack. I remember making a test map with this a long time ago. You would just need to have a trigger to set 9-12 the players you want them to attack to enemies, and to the players you don't want them to attack to allies (which should be by default).

I don't have that 9-12 trigger map that FaRTy made me, anymore. (FaRTy, gimme!)

I don't think you can set 9-12 to build units. Although, I have never personally tested it, yet. You could cheat by just creating a unit at each barracks for the player and then sending it to attack. (If they do attack)

I'll see if I can find my 9-12 triggers and make a test map.

Unless you know how to seriously mod StarCraft, Player 9~11 are generally useless, and player 12 is good for baracades, and killing/removing units that belonged to a quitting/disconnected player.

The best theory about players 9-11 is that they have no vision to themselves, therefore, when you attack them, they get vision, but they usually do not attack, only follow. So, no I don't think you'll be able to have them replace a computer, only a neutral player, and maybe not even that.

You can't make P9+ to attack or build anything. P9-11 will follow you around when YOU attack them, while P12 is completely passive

Ooh right! They follow you, not attack. Now I remember. Mm.. an idea for a zombie map i guess... sleeping zombies, then when their near you you die!
