DO NOT COLLECT YOUR TAXES UNTIL THE DAY AFTER YOU CHANGE YOUR GOVERNMENT TYPE FROM ANARCHY! You may see an improvement immediately upon changing your government type. THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING. Anarchy cuts your income clean in half. As soon as you leave anarchy, your daily citizens' income will jump up to 60-65% of normal. Wait one more day and it will hit standard amounts again. A long time ago, not this time. But I WAS an idiot this time around, too, and accidentally collected my taxes before spending my war chest on replacement infra. I had to settle for less of an increase, though I DID get back up to 3999.99 from 2999.99 today.
