I'll be paying my respect to my childhood, I was a huge fan of the turtles and figured since I’ve never seen a turtle game on sc.. why not make one?

As a mapper I’m going to make the game fun for all players (including those who were not a fan of the TMNT show from the 80‘s, unglitchable, and balanced. But as an artist.. I’m going to bring the turtles back, and do my best with trying to give you the same feel the turtles gave.. back in the 80’s!

Title: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Number of players: 4

Release date: Not yet known
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The game play is going to be quite simple.. as well as a little different from most games you might have played. The game will be pretty straight forward rather than open RPG, however it will be full of foot soldiers, obstacles, special skills, and bosses. The game play will be very innovative and will involve a lot of teamwork. Players will have to micro combat to defeat enemies. Players will also have to rescue dead teammates. If a player were to die, a flag of their color would be placed where they last died with a loss of 200 xp, and teammates will have to stand by that flag for 5 seconds to rescue that player. When a player is rescued they will receive 15% of their normal hp (which is 500). Game is over if all players die.

Story: Not yet decided
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Characters:
-The special abilities will be easy-to-use and most convenient
-All characters are different colored zerglings
-Damage 8+1
-Armor 0+1
-Hitpoints 500
-Skills 4

Skill: Shell Shield- Absorbs 250 damage done to you.
Skill: Concentrated Strike- A single, but deadly 300 damage attack.
Skill: Frenzy- Increases Leonardo’s attack speed x6 for a short period of time.
Skill: Meditation- This skill can be turned on at the cost of 20 energy, and will constantly drain your energy as you slowly heal. All players have this skill.

Donatello:
Skill: Staff of Defense- You will become immune to damage for a very short period of time.
Skill: Turtle Net- Casts a web on a nearby foe, and disables him from attacking.
Skill: Dash- A charge attack that ends with a crushing blow.
Skill: Meditation- This skill can be turned on at the cost of 20 energy, and will constantly drain your energy as you slowly heal. All players have this skill.

Raphael:
Skill: Cloak of Shadows- Vanish from the naked eye.
Skill: Fury- Pierces through multiple enemies in a mad attack.
Skill: Stun- Stuns up to multiple enemies for a few seconds.
Skill: Meditation- This skill can be turned on at the cost of 20 energy, and will constantly drain your energy as you slowly heal. All players have this skill.

Oh god, not the Ninja Turtles. I myself was a fan of them as a child, then I turned five. I remember on the show, all they talked about was pizza and all they did was order pizza and then kill a few guys. The map sounds good, but you make it sound like it's supposed to be something totally new.

Nowhere in this topic did I say it was something new. I said I was going to keep it simple.

The TMNTs have always been cool. KNOW YOUR ROOTS!

The movies were pretty good too, but the show was awesome to come home and watch.

I remember a few movies, New one that was released then the old school one where turtles were more realistic.

I remember as well watching this as a kid and enjoying it. I still do enjoy them since a childhood memory.

Map sounds fun and going to be enjoyable to play as well. Good luck with it. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rock!!!

The word "different" and "new" do not share the same definition.

Let me draw it in crayon for you... I was telling those who read this topic that it will be something different from the over-abused open rpg's.

O_O

Just make sure your grammar is 100% in this one eh Bio? I've seen the Breifings of Villiage Def and One too many times and seen those damn spelling errors! (Not to mention, word choice errors. O_O)

Lets begin!: Its ARKLAY MOUNTAINS.
RACCOON CITY IS NOT "a small city".
D: It goes on and on..

If you knew anything about mapping you'd know that typo's can happen and after so many triggers it's hard to find that specific text string.

Ya that is what happens commonly, and it doesn't make u a inperfect map maker, its just silly mistakes, try typing when ur blind, or when you think of something just now... [seriosly, can anyone type blindedly?]
saying that Bio isn't blind, and knows what to do, he ISNT BLINÐ... OMG, i forgot what i'm talking about now, since i am looking at my keyboard typing this.... O well, i hope this map will be THE BEST TMNT Map EVER, [he may have to recreate it on SC2 but who cares]

AfterLifeLochie -- If we were to create a peice of code that creates an index, we could then assign a label to each 'area' it finds. Unfortunatley, I see what you mean: this would be impractical.
