Remove pre-placed sprites via EUD's

As per the title, is there any way to do this through triggers? I have about 30 sprites preplaced on a map that I won't need once an initial trigger expires, so I'd like to remove them. Failing that, I may just use an Unused unit and change its graphics through EUDEditor to achieve the same effect, but I'd like to not waste a unit ID that I don't need to.
